thanks Op, purchased one in HN. Been on the look out for one for a while.

Damn missed out. I’ve got a sealed ps classic if someone wants to swap? ;)

    Come on guys ……….really?!?!?

Buy a second hand Wii for 50-60$ , run any retro you like on it including (Nintendo , super Nintendo , Game boy Advanced, PS1 , Sega, Gamecube …….etc)

If you worried about game pad , Wii gamepad for 18$ as well online.

This is what i did as soon as Wii was on sale on EB for 22$ last year, You can run all retros in Xbox as well in dev mode.

    • +1

There's many options to play retro games but to see that console and play those games with the original style controller in hand is what triggers that nostalgia and that's what these machines are all about.

    • +1

I've got all the emulators in the world, but they don't have the look and feel of this. Unfortunately my Wii doesn't look as sexy as this baby.

      • Spot on. This guy gets it.

      • +1

hahaha , Good for you mate
        enjoy streets of Rage :)

Thanks! Been waiting to pick one of these up, managed to find one at HN locally.
Some of my best gaming memories as a kid was playing this, now I'll show my kids!

    • +3

Right on! I do the same with my kids.

MOD should change from OUT OF STOCK, as Harvey Norman have loads in stock. @ $78

  • You can run these games on any PC or mac, just download a free emulator and the games ROMs are easy to come by.

    • +1

100% this, the games are emulated on these anyway.. These minis are nice to display and the controllers are nostalgic, but if its actual gameplay you're after then an emulator with a modern gamepad is a better solution, especially since you can have multiple emulators through one piece of software such as RetroArch.

I missed those old times when games weren't so accessible. Friends came over or we went to visit others solely to share a game.

    • +2

Netflix is a service I love, but I do miss when as a family we made an effort to sit and watch a movie together because it was on TV. Sometimes restrictions makes me put more effort in to enjoy it and give it more appreciation for when I have it.

      • +2

There's so many crap movies and so much choice with streaming movies now, I eventually give up and watch what's on tv. I waste more time searching for content, rather than actually watching it.

        • +1

I find that it tricky to get everyone to agree to the movie of choice also, when it was on TV, it was either you watched it or you didn't. Now we spend 30 minutes searching for a movie that we will all watch but it leaves everyone miserable because we all compromised. Apparently John Wick 3 isn't suitable for 4 year olds.

@FabMan: Ha ha. We all watched contagion tonight. Seemed an appropriate choice in this current climate.

  • My Harvey Norman purchase is on back-order. I should have known this would happen as it happens with every Harvey Norman sale. I'm just gonna cancel it so I'm not waiting weeks without my money or the item.

  • Just price matched at JB Hi Fi Highpoint. Cheers OP

  • Still 7 in stock at Springvale, just picked one up (HN)

  • Just bought one today from HN to play with my kids. Wife gone bananas over it. I have to get rid of of the machine now.
So $60 including Express Post to wherever you are in Australia.
Near new condition, only played for around 90 minutes.

    • Is she a blonde or brunette?

      • Brunette, maybe I should get a blonde.

  • Amazon sent it in a satchel. Arrived dinged up. Totally lame Amazon

    • Probably because of one single person or they may have been out of more suitable packaging. I've worked in an Amazon warehouse in a different country, it's not really that automated.

  • The one i bought late last year for $99 from Amazon came in a box but like you this one came in the satchel but mine wasn't dinged up at all.
