You already have a closet, but now Samsung wants you to have another. Meet the AirDresser, a freestanding closet-within-a-closet that cleans and straightens your clothes after you hang them up and walk away.

Get neat clothes with less hassle ironing. Wrinkle Care uses a combination of steam and air to relax and smooth out creases in clothes, so they’re quickly ready to wear. It can remove up to 100% of wrinkles from woollen clothes and 80% of wrinkles from rayon material.

  • Better get a new mega TV if you want to throw money on something, that actually does something visible.

At $5.50 for combo (shirt/pant) ironing at drycleaners .. for an investment cost of $2419 + reasonable cost of operation (water & electricity) and taking into account about 260 working days a year this will break even after about 1 year and 9 month of operation.

Or much much longer once you realise it doesn't do as good of a job as ironing.

      • Or having a JOB as well

Genuinely curious as to whether you have used one of these? 1yr 9 months is a bargain if I never have to iron again…

        • agree!
IF I only need to choose the clothes and leave inside for overnight.

Seems like it’s full of “hot air” (the LG one at least)

          • @LittleTicket: Yeah the samsung one is built a bit different. You can only put 3 things in it. Looks like there are jets coming down through them as well. Don't know how well it would do pants.

Someone should really buy this though and let me know if it works

          • remove odours as well. E.g) smokers
Heard it's a spelnded product to have if you have to follow certain dress code.

Assuming this doesn't catch fire like Samsung fridges, or breakdown like other whitegoods made by Samsung.

Another piece of expensive and pointless technology.

    I want one.

    • Well said. I want 2

      • That way you'll have a spare when your other one is at the cleaner's!

    Oxymoron?

  • +1

I kind of want one even knowing that this definitely wont be able to replace ironing.

As usual though best Samsung deals are always behind the EPP wall, even on overpriced stuff like this.

Samsung is good at inventing or releasing obsolete, but mildly interesting products that I don't need, but somewhat desirable.

    • Samsung didn't invent this; the AirDresser is just Samsung's version of LG's Clothes Styler which launched five years ago. And the Clothes Styler is itself a fancier version of Whirlpool's earlier Swash, though that one didn't really go anywhere.

  • LG has their own version of this which has been out for months now. It's cheaper for people who dont have EPP access.

This is interesting. Any other such items that are expensive but make life easier in a surprising way?

  • Removes 99.9% of selected viruses (Adenovirus, Influenza and Herpesvirus)

    • but what about the coronavirus?

      • What's that?
