Problem is at work laptop i cant install logi software to customise the button or gesture
I am in I.T. I haven't' got that issue :D You might want to ask someone in IT very very nicely and see if they give that access :)

There are 3 side buttons. may be they finally relocated the "switch" button.
As long as it can be remapped - because I never use the switch button. One of the main attractions of this mouse is the auto-switching scroll.
@macrocephalic: Didn't mean the scroll switch, was talking about the toggle button at the bottom to cycle between the 3 channels.
It's a bit of nuisance for people who actually use that function to flip the mouse back and forth. So far M720 is the only mouse with that button at a more accessible location.
I have both colours — white for Mac and graphite for Windows. There's no difference between them, except the graphite one comes with a dongle. Great mouse, feels really nice to use!

So white is Bluetooth only which works for Mac and Windows? Graphite has no Bluetooth and needs the dongle which is only compatible with Windows?
@antik: They both work with both Windows and Mac with either the dongle or BT. The windows one comes with a dongle. I don't know why there's a difference.
Just use a spare USB Unifying Receiver if you have one. It will connect.
Still end up cheaper than the Graphite even if you need to buy one (usually under $20)
@FloatingPoint: I just researched, 3S isn’t compatible with older USB Unifying Receivers, only the Logi Bolt which uses a different protocol which is faster and more secure and stable. They are about $20
@antik: Oh they finally updated to bolt receivers? Pretty sure my 3S came with Unify (but it was quite a few years old)
