  • Give me Gillette Fusion blades and you got yourself a deal!

  • Mach 3? That's like the new disposable 2 blades (ouch)

I find mach3 better than fusion personally; more space between the blades for the hair to get through, so you aren't cleaning the damn thing after every single stroke.

Also, don't forget to dip your blades in methylated spirits after you have cleaned the hair and shaving cream out with water and dried them; they will last much, much longer this way. I'm still using the same Schick Hydro5 blade from the last time they gave them out for free (not joking). I shave once a day and I'm Indian so not exactly lacking hair, either. :p

    • What sort of methylated spirits?

    • Dont the blades get blunt? I have quiet a thick beard and ive tired using my blades for a prolonged period of time but find that they get blunt and make the shave irritating.

      • I've heard that they get blunt because the sharp edge of the razor rusts and degrades , thus the methylated spirits to displace any moisture. I haven't tried it though. Also I saw something on You tube about a guy using jeans to sharpen his disposable razors like an old fashioned leather strap.

    • I also love Mach 3. But I prefer to use the Mach3 turbo blades.
I am happy to use it twice on my beard to get the 6 blade safety feeling ;)

xyron, your comment made me think of Russell Peters :) LOL

  • I had the Waterwise service come and the guy put water saving thingies on the spouts in the bathrooms. Now, I need to use an old toothbrush to get rid of the hair caught in between the blades, because the force of the water just won't do it anymore :(

  • Cheaper than Costco but postage kills it for me

    • +1

Totally! free postage gets me every time as well…

  • My housemate nabbed one of these from HNBB when they put it up a few months back.

He says they're noticeably lower quality than the ones he normally gets from the shops (same brand/model). He's binned them.

    • Just spotted this, this should not be the case. Get him to contact customer service through the website and they should arrange something. We've had no product quality complaints from hundreds of sales so it sounds like he just got a bad batch or something?

      • I'll let him know.

Can you officially confirm these are normal Australian stock and are identical to stock in Australian shops?
