If you have an existing GE card we do accept it. New finance agreements however are through HSBC. Hope that helps!
2GB graphics is no better than 1GB…
why is that?
You only really need more ram if you're running on high resolutions above 1080. The GT 540M is around the same league as the ATI 5730m. That really struggles on medium settings with current games at 1080 res. So the gpu itself would be the bottle neck long before the vram.
I was playing CIV 5 and the GPU was strugling towards end game when the entire map was populated, on MEDIUM setting…
Otherwise I think it is a pretty good machine for the price.
Shame it's not a Timeline series, the regular Acer battery life isn't fantastic. Not all that long ago the same thing in a Timeline model was only around $700 after cashback too.
