$15/l nice price by recent standards.

    • +1

I got 28 for 2L from OW right before the madness started. So this is actually a very good price.

    • Shipping to Melbourne was $15

      • +3

$15 to Adelaide too, so $90 for 5L delivered. I'll keep borrowing from work for now.

        • +2

Do you borrow toilet paper from work too?

          • +3

@cainen: If I finish my stash and can't find any in stores then it will come to that. :)

            • @AussieDaddy: I hear that someone is trying to sell 5000 rolls of toilet paper in Adelaide so you may be in luck

      • A week before it was $30

    • +3

This should only be available for commercial sales only. Way too much for household.

      • +2

        Thats a lot of 'only's!

        • +7

          two many?

          • @dny: two manly.

  • +4

Great price. I ordered 4 for work a week or two ago and expecting delivery in the next day or so. We’re a not for profit and eligible for the pre pre-order.

Great company and so thankful they’ve taken this on. Well done team!

  • +1

this is an excellent price! pretty much on par with pre-crazy prices

  • Great post!

  • +6

My only question is why would you advertise the 5L for $75 when you sell hand sanitizer with Gin aroma ??

Hand sanitizer that smells like Gin. SOLD!

  • +1

Nice price. I picked one up. Thanks OP and thanks to Manly Spirits Co for the very reasonable price.

  • $30 postage for me :(

    • Same. Stupid courier rates. Had to pass.

        • +7

          "…pay $30 to 'save your life'…"

FYI, this isn't a vaccine, it's simply one of several options to help maintain personal sanitation. Soap and water is another. If I were desperate for hand sanitiser, I'd buy, but I'm not.

        • +7

Could you be any more dramatic?

          • @Tnetennba: Cabin fever and conspiracy theories are getting to the best of people.

    • +4

Order a bottle of Gin and ovber $150 is free shipping on my order

    Manly Spirits Hand Sanitiser

    Nothing for the ladies?

    • +2

Yeah it's assuming only men have dirty hands. Reality check women have lots of bacteria too

Not sure if serious. Just in case - https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/Manly+NSW+2095

Reality check women have lots of bacteria too

So true - back in primary school we lived in constant fear of contracting 'girl germs'. Luckily the decontamination process was quick and painless, and thanks to no returns, permanent.

        • +1

Derrr.. Why didn't you just do the old "Germ Lock"?!?!?
          rofl

  • Thanks Op! Just wondering has anyone got a confirmation email yet?

    • I placed my order 60 minutes ago and I am yet to receive the confirmation email.

      • Oh wow, good thing payment was through PayPal and I screenshot the confirmation page. Waiting game now

    • Just placed an order and read your comment ! Haven't got any confirmation mail yet but paid using PayPal so not bothered really !

  • +6

Thank you and I got a bottle of Lemoncello as well to help out.

  • +5

Judging from the container it comes in, is it safe to assume this is a liquid sanitiser and not gel?

    • who formulation is not a gel

  • -3

    bought 2. Genuine price

    • Ghaint veer… lagda neat hi chalugi!

  • fantastic deal

  • +1

Hi OP. Is this a gel or a liquid? Just wondering if you need a particular type of dispenser to use it.

    • -4

It's made to who standards so it would contain glercin so it would be gel like

      • Whose standards?

        • +3

Doctor Who. He's a chemist as well as a time traveler.

      • +1

The WHO standards contain glycerin but it is not gel like, the amount of glycerin in the mixture is not enough to make it gel-like - just enough to keep the liquid on your skin long enough to kill the bad things

    • Liquid

    • I'm thinking it's a liquid since they are calling it an alcohol rub. There doesn't seem to be an ingredients list anywhere.

    • WHO is liquid, not gel. I have found my empty Coles handwash container with a strong push was best. When I tried an old hand sanitizer gel container with a weak spring, it seemed to not work as well and shaking it was enough to lose sanitizer out the top.

  • Thanks so much our business is so grateful. Much appreciated.

  • Wish they have 1-2 liters one, I am single and cannot finish this huge bottle

    • +1

Find a gf then or adopt a child.. 🤷🏿‍♀️

    • +1

      Consider mixing it with coke…

        underrated

Best way to meet your soulmate these days would be to offer them to come over to Netflix and sanitise

    • I like your optimism.

    • Go halves with a friend… Or group buy

  • Sold out, cant checkout

  • +1

I have to say your website is beautiful. Just the photos make me want to buy some gin!

    • It really is! I love the layout. Whoever designed that website is worth the money :D

  • Sorry, we do not have enough "Hand Sanitiser - 5 Litres" in stock to fulfil your order (0 available). We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

    • +1

I got -1 available. Who's going to be the unlucky one getting their order cancelled.

      • +6

'-1' means you have to send them a bottle!

  • +2

Looks like it's sold out! :-(

  • Great price. Thanks. Have seen 450ml sanitizer for $35 today.

  • +1

This is the new reference price for hand sanitizer, hope other manufacturers follow

  • No stock..

  • +7

Damn it, already sold out. People shouldn't be buying more than one.. no one needs more than 5 liters of hand sanitizer.

    • +1

If you dilute it 50/50 you can get gin. 40% ABV.

      • I dont think you can drink it, the IPA suppose to be pretty toxic for human consumption.

        • Given it's a distillery, I think this would be ethanol, but it would be denatured like metho to make it unpleasant to drink.

    • I bought two but it's for my business…when the gov lets me resume trading.

    • +1

Didnt get the chance to order any, but it made a lot more sense for people to order 2. 5L $75 + $30 Shipping or 10L $150 + Free Shipping

    • +5

For 5L bottles, they should've restricted it to 1 per customer. — I'm just saying - I've already got a couple litres coming from a previous distillery deal, and had no intention of buying any of this.

edit: ok I can see how 2 would be good for a business - many employees. My comment was about 4 for an individual or family.

    • -1

Im going through about 1L per month.

Though that should cut down now my UV-C light station arrived.

I shouldnt need to use alcohol to disinfect packaging anymore.

10 minutes with UVc+Ozone will kill anything.

(Dont use uvC lights, or be near ozone, unless you know what you're doing…..)

  • Well that didn't take long…

  • Are these hand sanitizers that distillery's are making, similar in that it's like the jelly like ones you get from shops usually?

    • No, these are liquid.

      • To the uninformed bozo who negged, the WHO hand sanitiser formulation produces a liquid, not a gel.

I can't stand people who are wilfully ignorant.

  • I'm surprised that they were allowing people to order 4. Most places I've seen lately have been limiting to 1 or 2.

    • +1

I'm sure that most people buying 4 are probably people looking to re-bottle it & turn a profit.. or small businesses

  • +2

this is just liquid ethanol, which is fine, but defeats the purpose of "hand sanitiser" by not being simple to use. pass on this, just wash your hands with soap and water.

    • +1

If i touch a product on a shelf, there's not usually a sink nearby before i touch my wallet.

Or before i touch my car door handle.

      This stuff has its uses.

      • you would sanitise your hands every time you touched something in the outside world?
Talk about taking precautions to insane levels

The chances of you contracting covid19 by picking an item up off the shelf at the store and placing it back down would be miniscule.
And from your car door handle? :/

      • yeah but are you realistically going to tip liquid ethanol out of a bottle and use it before touching things? I'm not suggesting this won't work, but it will evaporate more quickly than when cut with glycerin (i.e. gel sanitisers) and you will use a lot more volume as it is harder to control - it is no different to getting a bottle of diggers methylated spirits, adding water to take it from ~95 to ~70% ethanol, and tipping that on your hands.

i'm mentioning this because some people may not realise it is liquid, not gel, and buy it without realising what it is. if you want to buy it, no worries, i'm just trying to draw peoples attention to what it is.

    • I have this is my car door, I open the door, squirt a bit, wipe my hands,(let it evaporate a bit) and get inside.

I suppose I could have a bottle and soap, spill water on the ground, dry my hands, leave it all in the boot. But this is easier

      • i'm not suggesting that at all - i'm suggesting get a gel based product, or wash your hands when you get home. liquid ethanol sanitisers work but are a rip off. each to their own though i guess.

  • 1438 clicks after 26 minutes. Great to support this company. Will have to look at buying some Gin from them.

    OZB'd

  • Sold out in 20 mins?

    • Yup.

  • Thanks for posting the deal - I’ve just ordered some for my office building.

  • How frustrating, signed up to their mailing list and never got notified…..
Hopefully they will keep producing this?

  • +2

I think people were asking about what hand rub means. I reckon it could be based on this: https://www.who.int/gpsc/5may/Guide_to_Local_Production.pdf

I tried making some myself, I bought 5L of isopropyl alcohol 2 years ago for 37 bucks and it is a liquid when you make it. The glycerol can be bought from Priceline for 4 bucks for 100ml, it can't be found on their site so ask the staff. Chemist warehouse has the hydrogen peroxide, 200ml for 4 bucks as well. For the price of 75 it is a bit pricy but it is hard finding cheap alcohol. I got my batch from Sydney Solvents but they seemed to have increased prices due to demand.

  • 20L available for $300? I saw it, didn't check if in stock.

    5L says in stock.

    • 20L needs a password to order. Most likely only given to businesses.

  • +4

It sucks they let hoarders order 4 at one time. 2 should be the maximum.

  • The 20l needs a password.

  • +1

    Methos is still cheaper.
