Ta. Kmart has 24 packs for $15 (everyday price), but they are only 330ml cans.

  • can get 2x24(48)cans coke varieties for $22 @ woolies this week ;)

    • $22 = 2x15cans Coca-cola varieties

      $22 = 2x24cans Pepsi/Schweppes only

  • I'm sorry but $1.68 a litre for Coke is not a bargain.

it is when you want it in cans. granted you can buy 2L bottles on sale for cheaper, but when you only want a single drink with a compact lunch a 2L bottle isnt going to cut it.

      • But you have to buy 24 of them to get that price!! If 63c was the price for a single can on it's own, fair enough. But having to buy 24 cans totally defeats the purpose. You may as well buy the same quantity of Coke in 2L bottles, and if you have to bring it somewhere, just pour the Coke into a smaller plastic bottle.

It's a bargain for a 24 pack, and you don't need to buy 48 or 60 to get the cheapness

        • spose if u drink 2 ltrs at a time it would be fine…otherwise it just goes flat…anyways, coke is crap anyways!

    • Doesn't Coke regularly come down to around 50-55 cents/can? Or has it increased lately?

its a bloody rip off. cans are cheap to produce and Coke has gotten greedy in the last few years. Coke cans use to be about 30c each on special and were nearly always under 50c at full price. buying in bulk should be cheap..

    • Yep, and remember when Coke used to sell 3 litre bottles?

    • +3

yeah, and petrol used to be $0.75 litre …. banana's used to be $1.00 kilo …. minimum hourly wage used to be $5.00 per hour ….. and so on

      • mate, this is sugar and water we are talking. Coke are just greedy plain and simple.

  • I saw this in the catalogue earlier and thought it looked like a good deal (I have been looking out for cheap Coca-Cola cans for a while).
Just a reminder to people reading the thread, this is an SA deal, where we seem to pay 20c/can extra for the privilege of getting a 10c/can refund.

This product is obviously not targeted at the average private consumer - because anyone with any common sense would buy the larger Coke bottles and save money. This product appears to be aimed solely at commercial buyers who NEED the cans (i.e. pizza shops, take away shops, restaurants etc).

I beg to differ. Yes it's more economical to buy a large bottle and drink that over time, but Coke goes flat ridiculously fast. Often even at parties where the bottle may have been opened less than an hour ago it's already dead by the time you get to it, and that's just wasting the last of it if you throw it out, or not enjoying it if you don't.

Crack open a can though, and you're pretty much guaranteed a good drink the whole way through. Also, they keep forever.

  • My local Coles had 60 cans (2 * 30 packs) for $38. Works out just slightly more expensive on a per can basis, but you get a fuel voucher at Coles. BigW sale includes fanta/sprite etc. Coles was only for Cokes, diets & zeroes. Looks like the days of 50c cans are rare as now.

Not really a major deal. Usual price is $16.56 i believe.
