  • Thanks OP!!!

  • Thanks! Seems like a good substitute for hand sanitiser and can be used to lean both hands and tables.

  • Cheers.

  • Way too weak! Who on earth wants to buy a wipe that may not kill the coronavirus and also says takes two minutes to kill the germs on your hands? For comparison, good hand sanitizer takes 15-30 seconds to work, and can contain moisturiser to maintain your hands skin.

As for the use of this for surfaces… how about no?

  • gone in 3…2..1…

  • Antibacterial

    What about antiviral??

    Thanks OP.
Good for wiping toddler hands down when they're out and about (& picking up everything they can find)

  • Pretty sure these things don't actually kill viruses though. You would want something like Clinell https://gamahealthcare.com.au/products/universal-range

They do, but not Covid-19. You need ethanol.

wow i think i got lucky …i bought 5 of these 3 x 15 Packs for $2 each from the reject shop a few months ago. like most Dettol products these are good quality and wipes dont tear up like other cheap wipes

Agree with quality comparison. Lucky I still have a few little packs left atm. We usually used these when eating out or cleaning trolley handles. I refuse to pay these current prices and postage though. Fortunately our Coles had plenty of trolley wipes on hand tonight … and surprisingly toilet rolls too, and even bigger surprise no one else was buying any. I guess the hoarders have enough to last a few years now so there are some for everyone again. No soap though!

  • there is no evidence antiseptic surface wipe can kill human coronavirus, esp. covid 19. save your money if this is the reason you purchase read

  • Interesting that Dettol claim that these will likely kill SARS-CoV-19, as it works on other coronaviruses, but testing is still be necessary to confirm.

disinfectants are also surfactants (contain detergent) and break surface tension, allowing bacteria, and viruses to make contact with the disinfectant, as does alcohol.

think of it like putting a cockroach in the toilet, it doesn’t drown as surface tension protects it from the water and forms a protective air bubble, add detergent or alcohol to the toilet bowl and surface tension breaks and the cockroach drowns and sinks to the bottom.

it’s also why soap, a detergent and surfactant is part of covid hyggene.

you will find the fine print on most disinfectants 99.9% claims are for certain types of bacteria e.g e.coli or staph which they have tested and are the common bacteria spread by poor hygiene, that doesn’t mean if used correctly they aren’t effective, just like hand sanitizer if used incorrectly isn’t effective against covid, and there are various types of viruses, each with their own levels of resilience, e.g small pox is tougher then covid in regards to how long it lives on surfaces, and bacteria such as anthrax lasts for years as spores.

all products need to be used correctly …. incorrect use makes then ineffective.

I look forward to visiting all these clean houses one day

  • Why this small pack is so much more expensive than the big pack, might as well get big pack?

  • I guess this is popular antibacterial wipes are a good replacement for toilet paper
