Just ordered the Virtual Tasting Dozen.

    Looking forward to it arriving.

    • +1

Terrific. Thanks Anton for the support of our family's wines. Cheers! RD :-)

      • +2

Got this last week and they are great. Definitely great value.

        • +1

Ah Musicbiz - kind words - thank you. RD :-)

        • +1

how many have you tried ?

      • +2

        Same here!

    • +2

Yeah i did the same just now too. Not an endorsement of course (yet) as I haven't tried them, but I'll report back once I get them.

      • +1

Hi Natslovr - Look forward to the feedback. Am sure you won't be disappointed! Most of all thank you. Cheers RD :-)

        • +1

I got it - they are all gone now and my favourite was the BY:Geoff Hardy Adelaide Hills Cabernet Sauvignon 2018.

Had a good book with lovely wine and accidentally finished the bottle but no ill effects the next day.

Will consider buying if it was a tad cheaper? can see this as my go to but at retail prices I would need to be earning a lot more to afford it.

    • +2

      Just did the same!

      • +2

        Legend. Thank you. RD :-)

        • +1

Got my case yesterday, cracked the Meritage first. What a tasty wine!

    • +4

We're halfway through the virtual tasting dozen from their previous deal, and they've all been great picks so far.

      • +1

Terrific to hear, thank you. Any particular favourite? Have you tried the Cabernet Lagrein Teroldego yet? Needs food, but a favorite of mine at home at the moment! Cheers RD :-)

    • +1

      It's virtually arrived already.

  • +2

Thanks! It’s been a while. Nice to see you back on here. I was just about to finish my last Lagrein. And your first mixed dozen. Cheers!

    • +2

Hi BargainBen. Glad to hear you've been enjoying the Lagrein - a big wine that one, as you know. Been working on Mixed Dozens and Six Packs for a little while and what better time to put them out there than right now! Thanks for the continued support. Cheers! RD :-)

    • How does the Lagrein compare to a big Shiraz? Similar or completely different?

      • Similar in terms of palate weight. Full bodied, good acidity. A wine to be loved by lovers of Shiraz looking for something a little different. Cheers RD :-)

        • Yeah I would agree with that, I’d never tried the variety before, but I like a big shiraz, and this is a nice wine with an hour or two in the decanter.

          • @bargainben: Yeah, then Lagrein is perfect for that! :-)

  • +4

Who do you use for delivery? I live in an apartment and 9 out of 10 times the couriers and aus post just leave a card to pick up from the post office which is not ideal for me.

    • +10

Hi Bonbi. We use Couriers Please, Fastway and Australia Post. Selection of courier is dependent on where you live but if one works over another in your local area, please specify it in your shipping instructions and we'll do our best to oblige. Feel free to DM me if you need help. Cheers RD :-)

  • +2

Just ordered a virtual dozen, finger crossed.

    • +1

Thanks @123cheese - you'll enjoy for sure. A bit of a crowd pleaser that pack it seems! Cheers! RD :-)

  • +2

Hi RD. I am still waiting on wine from last week. Do you know when you will ship? Thanks

    • +1

Hi Stock - we generally ship within 24 hours (aside from weekends and Public Holidays) direct from the warehouse in McLaren Vale. Please DM me and I'll check on it before I leave the office this evening. Thanks. RD :-)

      • +1

        Just sent you a DM

        • +1

Got it - thanks. Have replied too. Cheers! RD :-)

  • +2

Just bought a dozen and so did my Dad! Both looking forward to comparing notes!

    • +2

Thanks tchard and Dad! Much appreciated. Cheers! RD :-)

    • +1

      Good deal

  • +2

@RD ADL - What is your go to Shiraz currently (Lakeside or GMH)? Planning to grab a dozen on your recommendation - no pressure.

    • +2

Hi Radox. Stylistically similar but preference is Lakeside for the label, GMH for a little more body. Hope that helps Cheers! RD :-)

      • +1

Lakeside arrived Monday. Opened a bottle tonight, lighter than expected but very beautiful and fruit driven. Really enjoying it! Ordering another case, thanks once again!

        • Thanks @radox :-)

  • +2

Thanks! Just ordered the virtual dozen, great deal!

    • +2

Thanks Irrits for the feedback. Seems people love the Mixed Packs. Would love to hear your favorite once you've got through it. Cheers RD :-)

  • +2

Wow just ordered 2 packs of the virtual tasting dozen. My wife is really excited. Thanks for the great deal.

    • +1

Our pleasure. More importantly, thank you for buying it! You'll enjoy I'm sure. Some tippy top wines in the Mixed Pack. Cheers! RD :-)

  • +2

Thank you! Just purchased the virtual dozen 🙂 looking forward to trying the Shiraz!

    • +2

Two to go at in that pack too. The straight Adelaide Hills Cabernet is a Trophy Winner and so easy to drink. I might open one of those tonight myself even though we're having fish! Cheers! RD :-)

  • +1

Just ordered 6 pack of the pinot noir. Trying to limit intake in an otherwise tempting time! Thanks for the deal.

    • +3

Thanks admira. A PInot Noir at that price point that tastes like Pinot is quite rare. We shared a bottle after work last night so can vouch for it! I hear what you're saying about limiting intake at the moment. We're certainly asking folk to monitor intake and remember responsible drinking limits. Nice words of caution, thank you for that. Stay safe, enjoy the wines and thank you. Cheers! RD :-)

      • +1

Its the only reason I didn't get the dozen. A decision I might regret but there is always next time!! Excited to try them out, thanks again!

      • +1

Received them this morning and opened tonight… love it! Thanks again!

  • +1

Went for 2 dozen to support SA business in challenging times. Cheers for the discount OP.

    • +1

Ah mykids thanks so much. It's really appreciated. Stay safe. RD :-)

  • +2

Hey I just ordered the 12 pack! Can you please read my private message? Thanks so much for your hard work!

    • +1

Got it and just dropped you a reply. The harder work comes tomorrow moring - packing it all hee hee. Thank you. RD :-)

      • +1

Hey RD, can you check my last message please? Sorry for the inconvenience!

        • +1

All good. Hope we're fixed up now :-)

  • +2

    Went with the taster. Thanks!

    • +2

      Thank you. RD :-)

  • +2

Ordered mixed dozen - thanks for the extra discount RD. My partner is really missing her work at a wine bar, looking forward to trying to some different varieties!

    • +1

And I know we're all missing being in wine bars and restaurants too. Let's hope we can get to the other side of this soon. Enjoy. Cheers! RD :-)

  • +1

Which 6pak is the way to go?

    • +2

Ah, that's like asking who my favorite child is. Personally, the Cab Lagrein Teroldego or the straight Adelaide Hills Cabernet in the dozen. The Pinot Noir is also a great value buy. Pinot that tastes like Pinot at that price point is rare! Thanks for the continued support Cheers RD :-)

  • +2

I also placed an order for the virtual dozen. Looking forward to sampling the wines :)

    • +1

Thanks Paracaps. Look forward to hearing the feedback. Enjoy. Thank you. RD :-)

    Hi OP,

Are you able to do any deals on the Pertaringa wines?

    • +3

Hi Uno. Good question. As someone suggests below, the OZBARGAIN code will work anywhere on the site for 10% off. Check-out the attached link. There are some new Premium Packs which are absolute wonder deals. Around $410-ish dollars of wine for $145 including a bottle from my home block at our Tipsy Hill Vineyard in Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale.
      https://www.winesbygeoffhardy.com.au/our-wines/museum-large-…
I'll keep your suggestion in mind though for coming weeks. Best to sign up to the newsletter. If you would like to, please DM me and I'll get you looped in.
      Cheers
      RD :-)

  • +2

I'm a fan of big McLaren Vale reds, what would you recommend?

    • +1
      • +1

I can't see any sale on this one unfortunately, other than the 10% off code maybe.

        • +1

Hi Stig. Uno is right, the code will give you 10% off across the website. New premium packs here: https://www.winesbygeoffhardy.com.au/our-wines/museum-large-…
Grab some of those large formats :-) They will be perfect for the post social distancing parties we'll all be having when we're allowed to see other again at the other side of this. Stay safe RD :-)

    • +3

Hi The Stig. There's two options in six and twelve packs. The Hand Crafted by Geoff Hardy McLaren Vale SHiraz 2018 - a belter for the price of $149/doz or $85/6pk. Or the slightly more expensive Barbara Hardy Premium McLaren Vale Shiraz 2018 - a little bit more premium - $90/6pk. $3 of every bottle of the latter goes towards Nature Foundation SA to preserve, restore and protect natural habitat in SA, a foundation co-founded over 30 years ago by Geoff's mother Dr Barbara Hardy AO. So you can feel good after a few glasses too. Hope that helps. Please reach out if I can help further. Cheers! RD :-)

      • +1

Both sound good. For $5 more the more premium one might be the way to go if you think it's better! It sounds like the lagrein is a big red too. How does this compare to Shiraz or is it completely different? Thanks!

        • I think it's worth the extra $5. Lagrein is Lagrein and Shiraz is SHiraz is the easiest answer to that. They are, of course different flavour profiles and different wines. Lagrein is certainly a shiraz lovers drink too. Hope that helps. Cheers! RD :-)
