anyone can help to ship this to SA, but not open box like some guy selling XBOX in here lol

  • HDCP and HDMI versions for this Receiver please?

  • I see regular deals form these guys that I would go for or be sorely tempted … but they are not in WA?

  • Be VERY careful of Onkyos. They suffer from the HDMI board issue and once warranty is over, it's as useful as an ugly door stopper. They don't have a presence in Australia except for their distributor Amber Technologies, who are only interested in selling you another if it breaks even if it's a known issue.

    • Onkyo is aware of this an offered extended warranty for this issue. That was till 2019 for older amps.
I have a 2009 Integra receiver and it got the board repaired for free last year.
I am not sure for newer units but i'm sure they will repair as a poster mentioned this in one of the very first post above.

After the repair, my receiver is still going strong.

      Cheers

      • My unit died in August 2019 and no replacement as the period has expired. So they are aware, but don't want to fix it beyond mid-2019.

        • That's crap!. Just push them to fix it

          • @vinni9284: I tried hard.
Contacted Amber Tech but they said they wouldn't help as it's past the warranty period. Also kept trying to sell me a refurbished one (Why would I trust them at all).
Onkyo overseas said contact Amber Tech.

I even got in touch with the ACCC and Dept of Commerce WA, who all said I should bring it to the magistrates court.

    • No idea about it I thought Onkyo was a good brand. Used to be made in Japan for the good stuff maybe recent years quality dropped….probably all China whatnot anyway

What brand would you buy rather? Bose or Kenwood or Yamaha or something else

      • What is more important than where it's made is the standard it's constructed to, the components going in and Quality control. Generally the Jap owners police these aspects.

        Yamaha for me.
Would never trust a manufacturer that knows there is a problem, but stopped caring. It would have cost them ~$300, and sold me as I had no issues with the sound quality. However now I would never recommend it to anyone.

  • Out of stock. In between was in Stock, but got email from store that it was a system error and they will cancel order :-(

    • Hahah Nice word. Going to stealnium

  • What's the ideal room size for this system? Thanks
