      I thought the latest firmware update crippled these things in a major way

      If it can't read NTFS then it isn't much good for any decent quality movies

          exFAT is proprietary by Microsoft so i don't think that will work.

        I did read that, but it's not the only reason to use it, I myself bought one for my parents to access my Plex server and streaming services. Does that reasonably well.

    Netflix app in previous Mi Boxes have surround sound issues (known issue but unresolved). Can't attest to this version being fixed.

      Nice to see we've some cold hard facts here and not just opinions and anecdotal evidence to steer someone toward a VTV over a Mibox…

      Only reason I would really be pushing a VTV is the FTA jack and the Ethernet jack (which can be rectified with the TVirl app and a usb/ethernet adapter, respectively).

    The latest Android 9 update to these boxes is buggy as hell. If you do buy one, don't update it for a while.
