Red Bull MOBILE Pre Paid - $365 for 365 Days of Unlimited Talk/SMS, Including 1300 and 1800

110

Hey guys,

I just came across some good mobile phone plans being offered by Red Bull Mobile.
The $365 for 365 days plan offers unlimited talk and text for 365 days as well as 5GB per month. That equates to just $1 per day. I've never come across a cheaper plan. Also includes 1300 and 1800 numbers and unlimited voicemail.

  • "Red Bull MOBILE Access Plans give you access to all the below call types, as much as you want, until your credit expires."

Is it just me or does it say nothing about unlimited anywhere?

    • I'd take it as unlimited calls.

Red Bull MOBILE Access plans include all calls to standard National & Mobile services within Australia, National SMS messages, National MMS messages, Calls to 1300 and 1800 Numbers within Australia, Voicemail deposits and Retrieval.

Only neg is that it's on the Voda network…

        • what? Vodafone and Red Bull tying up together? So will be have Vodafone Reb Bull Racing…….or Red Bull McLaren Mercedes even……..lol!

        • but it does use the 850 network

      • That doesn't say anything about unlimited either…

        • "Red Bull MOBILE Access Plans give you access to all the below call types, as much as you want"

All the plans there are unlimited, 7 days of unlimited calls & SMS + the data included for $10, 15 days for $20 etc etc

        • As much as you want, that's better. Thanks.

  • "Must not be used on Peer-to-Peer file sharing services. Data is calculated in 250kb sessions"

    • Kinda weird. It's 5GB. It's not like people would be abusing a huge download limit through P2P.

Unless maybe it's downloads only? I'd be very surprised if that was the case.

what happens if you go over 5GB?

        • Good question. I can't see it stated anywhere…

          From their FAQ:

What if I use all my data before my expiry period?

If you use all of your data before your recharge expires you will need to recharge again to get more data allowance. But you will still have access to the Red Bull MOBILE portal on compatible handsets. Alternatively you can choose to purchase a Red Bull Bolt On plan, that will provide you with some extra credit until the end of your current expiry period.

        • But this is on the 365 plan, which says 5GB per month.

That faq would suggest that you will need to recharge again if you go over. Does that mean you loose your $365 if you go over on your first month?

  • I've been automatically switched to Red Bull from GRL mobile http://www.grlmobile.com.au/

But don't need unlimited, so I think I will be going with Live Connected.

  • "Red Bull MOBILE Pre Paid Plans do not support data or MMS for iPhone, please contact us
    for a Post Paid account"

Someone on WP said this is in the T&C's, Although I scanned through them all and could not see it.

    selective reading from some users…

Red Bull MOBILE Access Plans give you access to all the below call types, as much as you want, until your credit expires. See below for data inclusions and terms and conditions apply.

"until your credit expires" is the key

    its not unlimited

    • Duh? you pay for 7 days and once the 7 days is up your credit is expired, how are you negging this?

    • i agreed.website is terrible too and i cannot find about the call rates.i think this is a mouse trap unless i can see the FINE PRINT.

  • Hmm even though it ends up being just over $30/month which is cheap, another "catch" you could say is that it's effectively a 12 month contract..

  • how do you get a sim for red bull? Do you need to buy the cha cha phone too or will it work in any 3g phone or if you put in a pocketwifi or usb mobile broadband modem?

  • Their plans range from $1.43/day for the 7 day plan, down to $1/day for the 365 day plan.

They all have the same call inclusions, and you get > 100MB per day even on the cheapest plan.

So if a few dollars doesn't bother you, start off with a few 7 day packs to see how dismal the Vodafone network really is. There is minimal motivation to outlay more.

  • Well I've rang four places on the gold coast which were listed on the red bull site and none had stock of the sim card.
However, it seems eb games are getting some next month. A bit strange why eb games are selling sims.
