      • that surely deserves a neg then? Why are people so hesitant to do so? Thanks kindly for letting me know, will buy from somewhere else.

@OP care to respond to the negative feedback? You'll lose sales?

        • -1

edit: read a bunch of other posts. Will check with my wife's pair first. I don't think i'll be buying them for my mum! she's already pretty unstable and the house is tiled.

p.s. No one has the right to be rude OP. Get it together.

          • -1

            @hypie: Who's being rude to @OP?

It's completely valid to be critical of a business that's had issues with multiple users and no communication/resolution. If you think that's unfair, do not go into business - you're gonna have a bad time.

            • -1

@FlatulentFrank: Mate can you not read…. "OP" is being RUDE. i.e. the BUSINESS.

If I meant that we were being rude TO the OP, I would have used the words TO and THE.

Haven’t experienced the issues others are complaining about. Big fan of these, got a real Ice Cube in Boyz N Tha Hood vibe.

    Here’s mine I’ve had for a year….

    • did you have to size up with the socks? or they are a true fit with the socks on?

    • They look like my ones.

  • Crap, I accidentally ordered black but wanted blue, Mens size 10, order#25064 , is there any way you can amend this :(

    • that's been updated

      • thank you so much!!

  • +1

I bought in the previous deal too - the quality was not great. What you could expect it you paid $20-30 I guess - but would not call it a bargain.

  • They took ages to arrive but they're pretty good for the money IMO.

Warmer than I was expecting considering they're scuffs.

    • +3

yes we are, we are the Australian company not the American, everything is 100% made in Melbourne.
We even have our own Tannery?

      • +1

my apologies, I got you mistaken for another company

  • +1

    Save your $30.

  • +2

I bought two pairs from the last deal and it took a couple of weeks to receive.
When I first saw them I thought crap, they did not finish the work? The wool on the edges was not evenly cut.
When I started using them I found them quite nice. So I just trimmed the edges so that it looks neat. @OP can you improve that in the next orders?
Also the wool look much more yellowish than in the pics. Still worth for $29 in my view.

Just heads for those ordering the chestnut one is closer to the color of the dot when you select the color on the website rather than the pic itself.
The blue one was actually fairly close to the one pictured except for the wool as mentioned above.

  • Last time I bought these, still waiting for a response to my incorrect delivery.
    Ordered 3 pairs, got 1.
Emailed and haven't received a response yet?
They haven't responded to my comment on the other OzBargain deal either.

    EDIT: typo

      please DM your order number

  • +1

I've been using this over the last two years, and now it's time to throw and get a new pair. The inner soles seem deteriorated and there is no comfy feeling at all but I think this is the norm for sheepskin slippers.
It is worth the money and I am happy with the quality.

  • +1

they don't waste anything on the kangaroo rug, even the tail takes the toll

  • +5

    Wow, tough crowd.

I ordered two pair from last deal - one blue for the wife and one black for me.

My black ones have a different sole to hers (probably due to larger size I ordered), Ive had no issues with my grip. Hers do look more slick but she hasnt complained.

    They are very comfy

The wool is plush and not sure why people are expecting perfect evenly cut wool on open slippers… they are just for the house and under $30.

My only thing was the sole on for mine was gray when ordering, but arrived with black sole. No big deal really.

    • +5

      tough crowd

      That's OzBargain user mentality.

Everything should be priced like AliExpress, shipped like Amazon Prime and be constructed to Rolls Royce standards.

Seriously, I don't know why come companies bother trying to promote their wares here.

      • +1

I mean if RRP is $70 for a pair of slippers, I would expect them to be built quite well…
The shipping problem is AusPost which is garbage

        • How much should sheepskin footwear made in Australia cost?

          • @[Deactivated]: let's go with $70 for a good quality pair?

            • @[Deactivated]: Sounds fair. $80 delivered?

              • @[Deactivated]: Sure, so what's the problem with people complaining about these?

                • @[Deactivated]: Nothing at all. It's what OzBargain does.

                  • +1

@[Deactivated]: oh right fair enough then :)

                    • +2

@[Deactivated]: I thought so. Lovely chat.

        • I'd like to comment on the quality but I haven't received mine yet. Auspost have been reliable delivering everything else I've ordered. I'm reluctant to blame them given so many have had the same issue with this company.

      • +1

I will admit ours didnt arrive quick by any means (just over 2 weeks I believe), which was a surprise given it was Melb -> Syd. Not sure what takes them so long to get out the door - that is a fair and legitimate gripe.

I didnt have to use customer service - but if people arent getting looked after then I agree that is a big problem.

But in terms of the actual slippers themselves and their quality, I am shocked at the bashing. I love them and so does my fussy wife. For under $30 to my doorstep, they met my expectations. Im not going out to the shops or to the races in these, but to lounge around while Im working from home they are perfect

  • +3

Lots of empty promises from rep here after last deal. Point blank refusal to cancel the order when I asked for that after it had not shipped for 2 weeks shows total disrespect for customers.

  • I bought a couple of the rugs from this deal and was very impressed by the fast order processing time^ and quality of the product.

(^)Shipped next day but but took AusPost almost two weeks to get it to Sydney from Melbourne due to COVID shenanigans.

  • +3

    Guys,

Please be wary with this seller.

The don't have confirmed stock. Last time I ordered, it took 2 weeks just for the order to be dispatched then took another week for it to arrive.

I ordered 2 pairs but when it arrived, one pair had the wrong size and colour. I asked for it to be returned, and they were only willing to send me the correct pair until I returned the incorrect one which is fair and they also sent a return shipping so it was free to return.

But now, I have returned the item, AusPost tracking had confirmed that they have received my returned item, but now I still haven't got the correct pair. I haven't got any tracking number despite the fact that every time I called them, they always said "yeah yeah we'll get you a tracking number this week" but then nothing.

To confirm what others said of the product, the sole is heavy. Its not exactly comfortable for an indoor slipper, sole is more designed for outdoor ugg boots.

But anyone wishing to order from these guys gotta be aware of the trouble that you'll be dealing with once they screwed up your order. They also lacked communication about when they were going to ship your orders. Other sellers i've found through OzB were honest and were willing to let people know in advance that orders will be delayed. These guys won't.

Calling their phone numbers don't always work either. Sometimes their phone would come up with "Mailbox is full" then ends the call. Maybe that is due to the number of incorrect orders happening?

I have now escalated my issue to PayPal after just raising a normal case in which they didn't respond via PayPal. I still haven't got my replacement, nor my money back. And it's been over a month since I ordered.

    • +1

Lol, I haven't even received my original order, let alone a replacement order.

    • +1

I disagree. I received the original scuff and returned it due to too small. Communication from them was good.
Received tracking ID for the replacement and waiting to arrived.

  • +1

Purchased a pair… let's see how we go!

  • Terrible customer service. Avoid!

  • +2

I got these from last deal and do not recommend. The soles are hard and are not as pictures. they also mark my wooden floor boards with black sole marks. The wool makes it a bit more tolerable but they are definitely Not hitting the mark. They must have used cheaper soles to cater for the volume of orders. Here is a pic of the ones I got…
    https://imgur.com/gallery/bdSsdcz

  • +1

Wouldnt recommend these either. We've had two pairs of these, both poor quality. The first pair, within a couple of days of using, all of the wool in the heel area wore off. They eventually sent a second pair and the exact same issue happened.

      • +8

Maybe instead of spending time trying to defend the quality of your product, try to actually resolve issues with customers whom you've already taken money from?

      • +1

Wearing completely off the heel after a few days? No I don’t think that is acceptable. I have real sheepskin ones from another company and they are fine after years of use.

  • My experience with the last deal was pretty good. Delivered earlier than I thought. Shoes are pretty comfy indoors.

  • Ordered two pairs from the last deal - they arrived in about 2 weeks to Sydney metropolitan. I found they run approx 1 size bigger than stated. The material inside feels nice and soft, my feet feel hugged. But the soles on these are really not good. They are very stiff, heavy, and slippery foam. The tag seems to differ from slipper to slipper. They're also not stitched on both pairs. For 30 bucks, not bad. Definitely not worth the RRP though.

  • +1

Please note the extremely long delivery time if you are planning to gift these for Mother's Day.
My order took about 4 weeks to arrive - 2 weeks to be shipped (after I emailed a reminder) and another 2 weeks to arrive. I am in the Inner West Sydney.

I am also not overly impressed with the quality.
I got 2 pairs in my order - mine had stiff soles (which were uncomfortable and loud on wooden floors) and my partner had soft rubber soles.

Needless to say, I am still using my $2 slippers from Daiso.

  • I got mine pretty fine from last deal, fast delivery and no issues. Warm and comfy. Yes the RRP is inflated, but 30$ including delivery is fine for them, considering its real sheepskin.

  • Wow. What a wave of negativity.
Seems mostly because of having backlog of orders, and them some question of the sole slipperiness.

Well - for my part I was very happy with the sheepskin rug on the previous deal so am happy to support Australian made.
    Bought 2 pairs.

    • +1

Long delivery time is understandable, but not even replying to rectify issues are just bad. In fact I had just asked a refund and even then no response from them.

    • -1

      What a wave of negativity

It happens. A couple of people axe-grind and then it's stacks-on the company and/or individual.

Fact: If you do a Google search for "Whingepool", the first result is (correctly) Whirlpool

But there's a problem in the Google algorithm because "OzBitching" doesn't link to OzBargain until the fifth search result.

      • I think there's more to just whinge but really is trying to get attention for someone to attend to the issues… Up until this moment, no product and no refunds…

Contacting them is not helping as well as they don't reply nor take phone calls seriously…

      • +2

Am I supposed to upvote when I still haven't received mine from the last 'deal'?

      • +5

Do you realise the irony of your comment?

Seems to me the people who are "axe grinding" are people that have had negative experiences with the seller which serves as a helpful warning to others. You cannot invalidate someone's tangible experience.

P.S The problem isn't Google's algorithm, unfortunately it's your attitude.

  • +1

Thanks for the support OZB and thank you for supporting Australian Manufacturing.
Judging by the current sales these will be sold out by tomorrow.
    Thanks Again.

    • Are the mens sold out?

    • +1

As you can understand - in marketing the product as $70 RRP and Australian Made there are certain quality expectations placed upon your business. These have not been met by many people.

Sorry we sort of rained on your parade…

Hopefully you take on board widespread concerns regarding:
      -slippery soles
-inconsistent use of materials (particularly within the same order, for the same product)
      -bad stitching
      -premature wear
      -dispatch timeframes
      -poor customer service
-your corporate responsibility (making a product which endangers its wearers)
are all addressed in the future.

Personally, I would lose sleep at night over such negligence.

  • +3

I bought 2 pairs during the previous sale. They're dangerously slippery on our wooden stairs and tiled floors. Mum doesn't wear her pair. I only wear mine when I'm sitting down in a chair.

In hindsight, I would not buy these shoes.

Plus, the quality and material (especially the slippery soles) are subpar.

  • Can’t complain! The wife and I both bought these last time and they have been great, will buy again. The price is fair for the quality of the slipper imo. Heaps better than Kmart target or bigw slippers.

  • Bought 2 pairs last deal for myself and my partner - both navy coloured.

No issues with slipping on wooden floors. Quality is great for $30.

If you want to support Australian Made, less complaining about what is a pretty low price already would be ideal.

No issues with delivery either. Keep in mind, out of over 1000 orders, there is quite a low number of people complaining of issues.

I would buy again without hesitation.

    • There have been very big inconsistencies flagged by many members of our community. Quality is good for $30 - but call a spade a spade. If they are $30 then $30 isn't a deal. Quality is appauling for the apparent RRP.

I also doubt what proportion of the previous 1000 orders would return to share their experiences on subsequent deals. The comments have actually exceeded my expectations.

  • +1

I picked up a pair for myself and the missus from this deal back in June 2019.

Been wearing them pretty much everyday and still wearing as I speak with no issues. Only defect is some unstitching occurring (as pictured) but naturally, just due to wear and tear. No slipping on our wooden floorboards with these. Comfy and warm as!

Pro tip: I wear socks every time I wear these slippers. Learnt from experience as previous wool slippers would go rank after a while due to sweaty feet (apologies to all reading this whilst eating their dinner lol)!

Took some snaps to share, hopefully to assist others in making a decision…

    https://imgur.com/JFAmmrF
    https://imgur.com/ttGX8fy
    https://imgur.com/7Pm53iR
    https://imgur.com/MoMwlL4

I do hope that the quality hasn't decreased since my last purchase, but judging by the comments and feedback from others with more recent purchases it may look to be the case. Mass production due to massive influx of orders within a short period generally = disaster!

I've made an order to replace our existing pairs, so giving them another go. In any case, if it goes pear shaped I guess I'd look to put in a PayPal case? but hopefully it doesn't come down that path!

    • +2

They don't look great quality tbh. Stitching coming undone after 10 months I wouldn't exactly call wear and tear (unless you're going for a jog in them outside…).

      • Guess it's all subjective, but the unstitching to me doesn't affect the use of it, and it's still very solid. It's more so the finish edging seam that's come undone. If one's more into aesthetics then I'd understand them having an issue with it, but end of the day these slippers are fugly as so if one's into aesthetics they probably wouldn't purchase them in the first place lol!

I will continue to wear these and dare say will continue to last for some many more months. The new order will replace these eventually though.

For <$30 for use around the home for -+1 year period, I'm pretty happy with it.

The question is though… Is the product currently being sold the same quality as the ones I purchased some 10 months ago?!?!

    • omg they look horrible. This happened within a year for $70 slippers?!

      • Not sure how to interpret your comment 'they look horrible'?

Yes, these slippers are fugly period. But I didn't buy to show off as stylish trendy kicks… I would have bought Ultraboosts and wear them around the home if it was the case (using UB's as example as there was a recent deal for ~$70). I didn't buy these slippers to look pretty.

If you're referring to the stitching coming undone looking horrible, it's just the finishing material seam (to cover the edging of the sheepskin and wool). The intended purpose of these slippers still do the same thing, keep my feet warm and comfy around the house.

And they were $25.90 slippers if you wanted to be technically correct.

        • +1

Sorry, yes I meant the seams coming undone. It doesn't matter it still does the purpose, I could watch TV on a cracked screen but it doesn't mean I'll be happy about it.

You paid $25.90 for them but they RRP at $70. I'm sorry but I'd expect $70rrp quality otherwise this isn't a bargain and shouldn't be on here. I've bought $10 slippers where I've had for years and the seams didn't end up like that.

        • My mind jumped to "wow their dog chewed them" before reading the story… Id say that's bad. Note this is the grippier "hourglass" pattern discussed, and not the slippery "sawtooth" pattern

  • +2

I had a really bad experience trying to return faulty boots with this crowd. As I say every time they post a new "bargain", check out the reviews from confirmed purchasers on the productreview website.

  • +3

    Here we go again.

we are only allowing 500 pairs this time around to speed up delivery

Now, after 5000 clicks on the deal, the 500 pairs are still not sold out? What are the odds? Last deal got to 12000 clicks and generated 6000 sold scuffs…

    • +1

Maybe they didn't actually sell 6000 last time.

    • yeah this is what I was wondering as well…so many clicks, so little purchases

  • -3

Is it $30 a pair or $70 a pair? (Including delivery cost?)

  • Do you have any deal for the boot @uggaustraliaofficial ? Thanks

  • Great timing for mothers day OP!

  • is mens gone??

  • -2

These aren't from the original UGG brand, they are a knock-off. Yes, they may be made in Australia, but they aren't the real deal.

The original UGG brand goes by just that, UGG, and can be found at au.ugg.com. Ugg Australia is one of those companies that argued that the term "UGG" was un-trademark-able as it is too generic, and they are also one of those companies that pays bored looking backpackers to hold a sign in the middle of Pitt St while playing on their phone.

    • -1

Im sorry but you are incorrect, au.ugg.com is made in china and Vietnam, not Australia.
We are 100% made here and have been selling Ugg boots 15 years longer than that company.
We also are not the company that holds signs in the city.

      • I didn't say anything about where UGG makes their boots, and in fact credited you for being Australian made.

UGG was founded in 1978, and is now owned by Deckers in the US, and distributed by True Alliance in Australia. According to your website, you were founded in 1981. It's been a while since I studied maths, but I think your claims may be a little misleading.

Must be one of the other companies with the signs, my apologies.

  • Placed the wrong size for my order #25906
Could you please change to size 11 blue one instead of size 12? Thank you.

  • +1

I put through an order in last deal but still not received after 1 month passed. Contacted UGG, a guy whose name Anthony gave no help in this case. Very disappointed.

    • +2

Looks like we all dealt with Anthony. The guy was so unhelpful then turned rude when questioned about why after 4 weeks I still don’t have them.

  • How do i know what size is what foot dimension?

Im not used to buying footware online and vary quite a bit between shoe makes

Size 6, 7 or 8 doesnt really help me much….

  • +2

Ok, so I received mine from the last deal today, I ordered on the 25th March and received the 1st May. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that it was Auspost after they shipped on the 14th April as the bag was pretty battered.

The good - each individual slipper is decently made, a few small quality issues with glue smear but nothing life changing, for the price I am happy. The soles and tags are different to the pictures, but whatever, they're slippers. The corrugated EVA soles received would be more slippy on very slick tiles or hardwood floors VS the more flat Eva soles with divots in pictures, but I'm not worried, I'm not planning on hiking in them.

The bad - I ordered blue but got sent black. I don't particularly care and won't be exchanging, but it isn't technically what I ordered.
The thickness of the wool is different in each slipper, so the left one is much looser than the right one, feels a bit funny but I'm sure it'll sort itself once I've worn them in a bit.
They took almost 3 weeks to send when their website stipulates a much shorter timeframe. I wouldn't have wanted to have waited this long if they were to be a gift.

Having said all of that, the slippers are pretty nice and I did receive them eventually, so I don't think there is any real risk buying from the company. I'd probably buy them again with realistic expectations of what I was going to receive. I'll revoke my neg.

    • Thanks for the update. Very helpful.

    • I think they've realised their error from the last deal (allowing it to get beyond their capacity), hence limiting this deal to 500 pairs. Hopefully the shipping time is reduced with this.

  • yep add me to the slippery corner. wouldnt buy these for oldies. had them for 2 weeks. sole is hard as rock. worth 30 no more.

  • A lot of people are saying these aren't worth more than $30 and the quality does not appear to be worth $70 for slippers. Since when did OzBargain become a place for items that are reasonably priced but over inflated rrp? Harris Scarf would dominate this website

  • Ordered a pair for my son. Got 4 pairs in last deal (me, wife, 2 daughters) but didn’t get a pair for my son who hasn’t stopped whinging about it since they arrived. Didn’t think he’d like them but as they say jealousy is a curse. So been waiting for another offer to come up. Very happy with them. Daughters have been wearing them pretty much all day every day (being isolated at home). Last order took a while but for the price and the amount of orders they had plus AusPost being under the pump it wasn’t too bad. Overall everyone is happy with the scuffs at my joint. Also happy to support an Aussie business whose owners heritage is similar to mine.

  • I have to agree with the others.

    • Delivery took ages and I basically live 5km away from them, to put a cherry on top, Aussie Post delayed my delivery.
    • They are really slippery, in fact missus slipped on stairs today and hurt her elbow.

It’s my impression that most people have lost trust with them in their previous order. I honestly think it would be best for them to clear up the issues from the previous campaign first. It’s OK if you oversold and didn’t have stock, just be straight forward with the people here.

  • +1

Sent a request to cancel the same day of ordering (as I purchased them for my falls risk mother prior to reading additional reviews). The item has now been shipped and I have received 0 response…. Not sure what to do now.

Added a neg for that reason. Won't be supporting again.

edit: phew payed by paypal. will give that a go.

  • Please check your PM @UggAustraliaOfficial and respond

  • @UggAustraliaOfficial have you started mailing these orders out yet?

  • +2

Received mine today and pretty happy! 1 week delivery time, product is exactly what i was expecting, sizing is true, quality looks good and i dont seem to be slipping around at all - i have floorboards at home, no tiles however. They smell great as well! very fresh and like they have been made pretty recent.

Great so far, cant complain for $29.90
