For fun, you could dehydrate this in sheets and cut them out in the appropriate size for hamburgers. Apparently it makes for a non soggy bun.

I imagine a very sugary and salty bun?

You can also put this in a chocolate fountain. For fun

      • Raincheck. Not sure if possible ATM due to CV.

        • They aren’t giving out rainchecks anymore & besides couldn’t be bothered asking for one when Amazon has the goods at the same price.

Well you get delivery and a box . The boxes for me especially when I can get medium ones are worth
$3.30 . This one will be worth around a $1 and still have use :)

What a saucy deal you’ve found here

  • Made from 20% Australian ingredients… If that matters to you.

    • what, did they import the sugar? Australia has a pretty good sugar cane industry. Maybe its the bottle they imported.

      • Probably the tomato's I'd say.

I actually emailed them about this because I wanted to make sure they aren't using Chinese tomatoes.
I didn't even know chinese tomatoes were "a thing" but some store brand tomato paste is from China!

      Their reply below:

"Thank you for your enquiry requesting information regarding Fountain Tomato Sauce 500mL.

Depending on ingredient availability and seasonality throughout the year, we utilise quality ingredients from both Australia and overseas. Regardless of where ingredients are sourced from, all the ingredients that we use are required to go through our quality checks and controls to ensure that the quality and taste of our products are not impacted and are available all year round.

Our Fountain Tomato Sauces are made in Australia using tomatoes from Australia and the USA. The country of origin and percentage Australian ingredient labelling on the products has accounted for occasions where a higher quantity of imported tomatoes may be used.

If I can be of any further assistance, please feel free to contact me on 1800 656 115."

      • +1 for this level of effort. I appreciate this info.

  • Ketchup or nothing for me.

I wish heinz ketchup came in 2L bottles at Coles….. going to Costco is such a hassle.

    • What is the difference?

Ketchup is much thicker and nicer IMO. It's like comparing Johnny walker Red with a 15YO single malt.

Also ketchup is often a bit more vinegary compared to sauce which is often sweeter.

The ingredient list on a bottle of regular Heinz ketchup is as follows: Concentrated Tomatoes (Contains 206g of Tomatoes per 100mL), Sugar, Salt, Concentrated White Vinegar, Food Acid (Citric Acid), Natural Flavours (Contain Garlic), Spice. Contains 77% Concentrated Tomatoes.

The ingredient list on a bottle of regular Heinz tomato sauce is as follows: Tomatoes (148g Tomatoes per 100g), Spirit Vinegar, Sugar, Salt, Spice and Herb Extracts (Contain Celery), Spice.

Heinz’s Decades-Long Attempt to Convince Australia That Ketchup Is Awesome

But ketchup does seem to be a much harder sell. In 2012, the company closed its local ketchup factory, after 70 years of existence, and moved its production to New Zealand. In a final indignity, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported the news as “Heinz tomato sauce factory closes.

Australian's generally love their tomato sauce, and it is so much ingrained that they can not bear to call ketchup by its own name.

    • Interesting - Costco Docklands has stopped stocking Heinz; Where do you get your supply?

      • Coles in the regular sized bottles ATM.

  • Coles has 2L fountain sauce this week for $3
