  • Is this the same as the roborock?

  • +2

I am looking forward to reviews of the roborock s6 maxv when released in the next couple of months. It has lidar and vslam (twin cameras).

    • Got everything

    • +1

I'm already shuddering at the price, considering the S5 max MSRP is already $999.

Seems a lot of household appliances have started pricing like flagship smartphones the past 2 years.

It sure will be interesting, Roborock already send back your gps coordinates and maps of your house. Now they can stream a live video of everything inside your home. What could go wrong.

      • How do you know that?

        • A couple of German guys reverse engineered the vac and firmware, and gave a demonstration of it at an event.

  • Keen to hear other people's thoughts on this as I'm really needing one of these right now

  • My original is still going, just… makes a terrible racket like the wheels are slipping and always gets stuck on carpet now.
My S5 Roborock, started off strong but now make a REALLY high pitch squeak that I can hear from across the house.

I've tried to fix them, but nothing seems to work and it's hard to diagnose bcos you can't let them run under observation/inverted.

    • Glass coffee table?

      • Could work, but I would need to buy a transparent glass coffee table.
I've put them on the kitchen counter, lubed silicone, taken them 1/2 apart.

    • my 360 s7 also started squeaking after about a month of constant use. I initially thought it was one of the main wheels, after you take off the bottom case( about 8 screws) each wheel assembly is held on by 3 screws. then it lifts out and you can unscrew the housing to show the gears etc. Anyway opened it up and sprayed some lithium lube on it then closed it back up. Turns out the squeal was from the front free spinning wheel. Some lube on a qtip along held against each side of the axle while it spun seems to have fixed it.
Tldr, might just need to put some lube on the front wheel. Whole thing relatively easy to take apart if you have some philips head screwdrivers

      • Thanks for the insight :)
That was the 1st thing I lubed… just checked it's got fluff and while it does rattle it doesn't squeak, and the squeak is intermittent too.

      • Google Play has noticed a virus in the 360 Robot App - not sure if anyone else phone identified this so it got deleted by Google Play automatically reasoning from Google is that they maybe stealing your information so now basically i have a vaccum (robot 360 s7) without an app with no company to directly contact for this issue ! FIX THIS PROBLEM PLEASE

        • Mine is still installed on my phone, but I agree I cant find it in the play store. This is odd as it only got updated the other day and they refreshed the map so its higher res

  • Any thoughts on what's a better deal? This vs DEEBOT OZMO 920 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/535791)
