    802.11b WLAN <—- must be a typo. Expect 802.11b/g/n.

850 bucks for a HP? Hmm

  • +1

This is similar to the one I got for $600 at the HN 40% off deal. Except mine has the 750Gb HD.

    • Still better value than their last "buy 1 get 2" offer AMD processor, windows 7 32bit $1,400.00. :)

    • boxall: i7 Quad Core & 750GB for $600? Which model was it?

      • +1

I think that model ha the 6570

        • Nope mine has the 6770M.

          It is the 6024TX

        • +1

6024TX for $600? How did you manage that? Even if you had OfficeWorks price beat, it would still cost ~$730 I thought. The cheapest Quad Core i7 laptop on sale at that time was $599. So you got a much better model at the time for no extra cost? That's hard to believe.

        • The 6024TX is usually $999. 40% off is $599. Hard to believe? No.

        • yeah that was the best deal so far.. and I thought my $850 deal for the 6024TX a couple of weeeks before that was good.. but i also got the GST back through the TRS

        • Harvey Norman's RRP for DV6-4023 was $999 and after the 40% off - it was $599

Now, Harvey Norman's RRP for DV6-6024TX was $1298. After the so called 40% off, it was $778 - I actually still have the photo with the price for a DV6-6024TX (I visited a Harvey Norman store that weekend).

How did you manage to get a DV6-6024TX for $599?

Basically JB hifi matched the HN 40% off a DSE price. :-)

        • You are lucky.

  • still no full HD screen

Get this from OW, and get another 5% off. After 5% off is $803.4625

FYI this could be had for $770 at the hn 40%off.

How much for a time machine?

  • +2

Just did as c4leong suggested, OW did a pricematch! Coupled with the $20 4GB DDR3 Sodimms from last week and this should scream along! Woot!

    • +4

      It's still HP though:p

Yep. Great specs but terrible quality. In 2008 I bought one for $1900 and a year later it was dead. Bought another one in 2009 - it's still working but the battery died and the mouse keys on the touchpad broke. Never again.

        • lol, indeed it still is :(

kheob, will be sure not to use the touchpad keys then, haha, and scored a replacement battery for $35 off ebay too… so I'll cross my fingers!

        • I'm sure you'll be fine since I believe they've implemented the keys into the touchpad itself now.

        • Nevermind, I'm thinking of a different notebook. I don't think that yours will break from everyday use, I was just pointing out that the build quality isn't top notch.

  • Not sure how to comment on the votes…..but this thread has my receipt:

Basically JB hifi matched the HN 40% off a DSE price. :-)

    • yeah, but being that the HN40% deal is no longer on, it's not particularly relevant any more is it? I'm assuming no one would match it now…

  • Grays auctions have hps cheaper at the moment?

    • Cheaper until you factor in the buyer's premium and shipping costs.
