Xfinity Plus 20V 4ah Battery $39.99, 20V Fast Charger $19.99, 20V 2.0ah Battery and Charger Kit $39.99 @ ALDI

250

Woohoo! Been waiting for ALDI to have a tool & battery sale again as I need some more Ozito tools & batteries ;) Here's hoping the usual happens and Bunnings price matches soon… maybe even over the next few days.

Been waiting for this too. Thanks

Stores frequently clear stock of these in between sales for $29 and $19. I picked up a few recently for $19 each. There is a forum post for Aldi store-specific deals before someone asks me if I posted the deal (I did)

  • Ozito tools and batteries? Do bunnings drop their price when aldi do too?

Or workzone batteries can be used on Ozito tools?

    • +4

Bunnings usually drop their prices of comparable Ozito items when ALDI has Special Buys stock of their XFINITY tools and batteries. You can't natively use XFINITY batteries on Ozito tools or vise versa however you can buy 3D printed adaptors on Gumtree & eBay.

      • +1

Perfect, I'll be able to get a battery for the lawn mower that can mow it all without having to charge it twice lol

      • They drop the price on a black battery but not the red ones. They're exactly the same but the black ones were very hard to find in stock last time!

      • I couldn’t find any adaptors for Xfinity to Ozito. Do you have any links for eBay?

        • +2

Not sure about eBay but there's a few made here in Brisbane available on Gumtree

    • +1

If Ozito doesn't have the appropriate tool, sometimes get a Ryobi discounted, like when the thicknesser came down… what a day.

  • what other tools are available in the catalogue?

  • +4

Agree, Bunnings Ozito price match please!

  • +1

Isn't this the normal price? These seem to be available more often than not at my local. But the tools vary.

They make a good source for 18650 donor cells. But what is the best way to cut them up? I need some better tin-snips.
Good to see the fast-charger sold separately, not just with 2AHr battery.

  • +2

So tempted but the range of skins seems fairly limited?

    • +8

Yes… which is why you should start planning your Ozito purchases and prepare for Bunnings to drop their prices of comparable items :) You've got to be quick though… once Bunnings price matches then you've usually only got a day or two max to grab the Ozito 4Ah packs before they sell out!

      • Do they go on the sale price on the same day as Aldi? Or Bunnings drop prices before that date?

        • +1

The last few times Bunnings have dropped their prices at least a few days before ALDIs sale begins… possibly strategic to try to coax buyers over before handing their money over to ALDI (but not too early either!) but possibly also just because that's when they can get their act together ;)

    • +3

And the range of skins changes all the time, so if there is something you need there is a chance it doesn't come up for ages. The Ozito method is pretty good.

  • Are these better value than the Ryobi versions?

    • +3

All very subjective. I dare say some tools in the Ryobi range would be 'better' but to be honest most of the Ozito Power-X-Change range is excellent value.

    • main benefit i find with Ryobi is the range….if your after a one stop shop, nothing else compares as well.

  • +1

I've bought a Tyre inflated tool and Garden blower all have no batteries , now chance to buy battery, thanks OP .

  • I need some ozito 18v 4a battery’s. anyone know what price they will drop to?

    • Same as the ALDIs… $40ea

      • Haha whoops. For some reason I thought they were 2ah

  • +1

Couple of Ozito's seem to have already dropped in price at Bunnings…

    Hammer drill $49.99

    Brushless Rotary $99.90

What's the fast charger normally worth? Showing $29.98 (the oddball price usually means it's dropped for a price match).

I wonder if they'll drop the impact wrench as I think they only stock a kit? Can't seem to find just the Ozito skin.

    • +2

Seems like bunnings pulled down the brushless rotary from their site. RRP is/was $179.
Here's the product on the ozito website:

Is that link not working for you?
Showing in stock at my local for C&C or delivery, $99.90.
For $100 it would be hard to go past!

      • +1

Checked on powerpass. Still there for $99.90

        • Thanks for the product id.

          I used the stock checker:

          VIC
          Store Stock Message
          Box Hill 7 In stock
          Chadstone 1 Low stock
          Moorabbin 4 In stock
          Oakleigh 2 In stock
          Springvale 3 In stock

      • Is it just me, or does that brushless rotary hammer drill look tiny?

Cant see it being too effective as a hammer / chisel.

Hopefully the Aldi one is bigger, or might hang out for a chorded version.

        • It does look small but also looks very similar in size to the one in the Aldi catalogue.

    • -2

Not Ozito brushless rotary at $99

      • Yes it is.
See my screen shot above if it doesn't display on the Bunnings website in your state. It's the PXBRHS-200.

  • +4

I thought this is normal price for the ALDI batteries and charger. The only advantage is that it drives Bunnings to drop its ozito prices.

  • +1

I've noticed some ozito pxc products have been taken off the site and in stores, such as the drop saw and jigsaw.

    • +2

Frustrating hey but it isn't the first time it has happened. The range seems to be quite fluid as it keeps changing and updating over time. They've recently added a Brushless Circular Saw so I can only hope there's a Brushless version of the Mitre Saw about to 'drop'… but let's hope it's a slider too!

UPDATE: Just looked up the Einhell site and yeah it looks like they've added a few new tools to the range including a Cordless Sliding Mitre Saw (maybe BL?) and even a Cordless Planer!!! Only a matter of time before we should see them trickle into the Ozito range. Whoop!

      • +1

        Cordless Sliding Mitre Saw

Aldi had one a while back. I never saw it personally, or more like I wasn't looking out for one at the time. But I have seen it mentioned by people.
Looks like I have something to wait out for then! :)

        • Yeah, they've been around in different brands for a while however I'm now close to 100% Ozito PXC and already have the standard Ozito PXC Mitre Saw but the sliding model would be a lot better. I had a read of the manual via the Einhell link above and although it's a twin-battery 36V model it isn't Brushless unfortunately :( Boo.

          • @SteveAndBelle: heh I'm still slumming it on the cheapie corded basic one which I "forked out" $80 for, many years ago :P

Since decided my next one will be sliding; hopefully better branded so it cuts straighter, less play in the mechanisms even after trying to calibrate it. But I'll take cordless instead if the price is right.

            • @dufflover: I bought a huge, 240V, belt-driven, 300mm+ compound sliding mitre saw a few years ago when I thought I was going to need it for my big, slow, whole-house reno project. I used it once for a good few hours but I then started building up my Ozito PXC collection and never looked back. The big saw now just sits under the house collecting renovation dust and slowly rusting away. Sure the Ozito stuff isn't as powerful and some items can be quite inaccurate (the original 150mm circular saw was terrible!) but the freedom to quickly setup a rig and get the job at hand done far outweighs the benefits of the plug-in powerful tools. I'll keep the big saw though as I have landscape plans involving about $6000 worth of AA Grade Reclaimed Sleepers in my future and I know the Ozito gear wont be able to handle that :)

Some stores still have the 4 ah batteries marked down to $30…picked up 4 today before they repriced them back to $40!

    • They were still $60 something in my local today.

      • +2

I searched half a dozen Aldi stores for the Xfinity Charger and noticed some stores offered discounts whilst others didn’t especially in the more affluent suburbs! I eventually found one store with the charger in stock, they had a dozen of them! Pays to do an Aldi crawl when you need a particular item!

    • Bunnings or Aldi? Which store?

      • +1

        Aldi

    • Sounds like a good deal

  • +1

Oddly enough, today I saw they had the standalone Workzone charger in the display cabinet for $10. Only one left, but would certainly be better getting that plus 4Ah battery of anyone needed the combo.

I dunno, just mentioning incase as mentioned their local Aldi also happened to have one of these around, for some reason.

  • Cannot find 4.0ah batteries in the northern Gold Coast stores.
