I posted a deal for the normal Ring Chime, but didn't realise that the pro version is also on sale (lowest it has been on Amazon as well).

Like someone noted, it is because 2nd gen has been recently released.

If you need a wifi extender with your chime then I don't recommend this one at all. It has a pretty poor wifi extended.

i pair my ring camera to my echo show, i don't need a chime as echo show would make an announcement when someone ring the doorbell. more value add compare to a chime

    • Yes exactly.

    • In my situation, I found the echo show 5 to be slower and not as loud as the chime. I also didn't have much use for it outside being a 'chime' and I could sell it for $80-90 (I got the video doorbell from that echo show deal), whilst the non pro chime cost me around $40.

So for me, it was a no brainer in my situation

Have owned this product in the past & I agree and confirm.
As an extender this product is absolutely terrible.

  • This is useless as a wifi extender. The only positive note is that it alerts me a fraction of a second before my phone does, so if you don't have your phone nearby and have this, you'll hear the doorbell at the back of the house (in my case, approx. 40m away from the Ring 2).

  • These are the super-seeded model. The all-new Ring Chime Pro with nightlight is now available:
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Ring-Chime-Pro/dp/B07WGJ9XV6/ref=s…

Regardless, they are all a rip-off. You'll get much better functionality out of an Echo Show or the old Echo Spot (if you can still find one) as they will work as a doorbell and video intercom.

    • Video intercom is god awful in echo show.

I have a 90/35 speed internet and it took a lot longer than on the mobile.

Main reason why I sold mine but I agree that you shouldn't buy this one. Non-pro version does the job

No idea how much better the new one is.

Also using it as a doorbell ring, non pro chime is a better option.

You can use echo show or dot as that but it can be slower and not as loud.

      • I dunno, I keep hearing complaints about poor performance but it works perfectly on my Echo Spot. I do only have the original Ring Doorbell (720p) so that might be the difference. I also have my Arlo Pro 2 cameras integrated with the Echo and they work flawlessly too (they are 1080p).

Yeah, I've got the original Ring, and an Echo Show Generation 2, and within a few seconds of someone hitting the doorbell, the image shows up on the screen. It works well.

          • @[Deactivated]: How did you get the echo to show if someone is at the door automatically?

            • @Digitalsin: It’s in the settings on the echo. It’s been there for about 2 months.

Weird how they sell it for that price on eBay but not Amazon.

      Thanks for the link

      • It's also $39.50 on their own website as well, the regular chime is down to $29.50 too.

      • Really weird, considering the crazy ebay fees

  • The solar charger is also $49 on eBay, but 79 everywhere else.
