It was one of the games in AMD's Ryzen and/or graphics card purchase promotion a year ago from memory (free if you purchased an applicable AMD product). It's in my collection / pile of shame. That's the problem with free games. They tend to go straight to pile of shame.
Is it better to play this game on PC or PS4?
For graphics and performance, PC - but you need a controller as the PC controls are awful.
I played using mouse and keyboard and found the controls fine personally (after rebinding to suit my style)
I played the AC2 series on gamepad but decided to give this one a go on KB+M and found it really good. Personally, I couldn't have played Odyssey on a pad since the need to aim with the bow is so frequent.
What CPU and GPU do you have? AC Odyssey is reasonably demanding and you should expect to turn some settings down on PC.

the thing you're buying needs to be over $22 so the minimum spend is $7
If you want the DLCs, actually cheaper to buy this and the DLC separately with vouchers rather than the gold edition.
Vouchers can be used with DLCs unlike their last sale.
Is the Epic Game Launcher breaking for anyone else?

Even when I get it to open I can't download the game, it says I need a ubisoft login which I have..just gives me the error "you need to log in" with no actual prompt to log in.

Yeah I got it to work eventually, had to reinstall Epic Game Launcher
if I have the uplay version save file, possible to migrate it to the epic games version?
the dlc activates on the uplay version i believe so you can continue with the same save file.
Based on some stuff on reddit, it looks as though linking your uplay and epic accounts will automatically add the game to your uplay library as well as the EGS library (I can confirm that this definitely works for For Honor and AssCreed Syndicate).
Practically, it sounds as though you can buy on EGS and then install and play via uPlay.
I'm contemplating getting Oranges Gold for much cheapness via this route.

I can confirm this is the case for other Ubisoft titles on the EGS. In the past I had to begin the download on EGS and then it would prompt me to link my UPlay then i'd cancel the download on EGS and just download it directly in UPlay. Can install + launch from UPlay no issues.
Thanks to the admin who uplifted the post. The link to the epic store was giving a 404 earlier so took an image from the store launcher.
There's a lot of value there given the price, I paid full price and still thought it was huge for what I paid. This is a steal and worth sinking your teeth into, and I'm not even an AC fan having only played Black Flag before this.

Yes, Origin is on sale as well. However, you can't use the coupon to buy the Standard edition as it is less than $22.99 (IIRC it's $22.48). You can use the coupon to buy the Deluxe or Gold edition though.
