  • Finally got 2 - after numerous attempts! At least it paid off in the end!

    • So there is still hope!!!

  • quantity revised down to 1 due to restrictions…. doesn't match the offer on the front page.

    • ahh, seems I somehow got an order for 1 through earlier, despite the timeouts so thats why.

  • +2

The requested application was not found on this server… OMG

  • -6

this is BS, wasted an hour already, and got nothing.

    • +1

Only an hour? I've been trying on and off for a few hours now :(

      • -2

yes and definitely an hour of my time worth more than $ 10

        • +1

why did u even bother wasting an hour? Like u said, it's only $10!!

  • +1

The page timed out but on the other end got an email confirming the purchase. Can these companies get some decent IT staff and infrastructure to cater for the offers they put up.

  • Argh! I keep getting errors just before the confirmation page :(

    • Finally got to the confirmation page - but only 1 card went through!

  • +2

This is hilarious. I think the IT team is probably going to be spending the next few hours restarting the web-server every time it goes down.

    • Hilarious, I think it is Poor and Bad service delivery.

  • +1

Crashed on the last page after paypal payment. If I go back, Paypal says your payment is already completed. Even Continue button is not available for click. If I go forward yellowpageoffers says "No instance available" What should i do?

  • +2

    yellow pages website has crashed

  • -6

-ive vote for the poor service from yellowpagesoffers.com.au as server not available and wasting so many people's time !

    • -2

      +1
-ive vote for wasting my time.

  • FINALLY GOT IT WOOOOOT!

  • +1

Lucky I have nothing better to do at work

    • lol me too

  • +2

    can't access the URL…:(

    • I can access the URL, but not their server… :(

  • I have been charged on CC but the confirmation page creashed several times. I have no idea what to do as I have not got the confirmation number??

  • -2

Got myself another 2 by going back and using the credit card option and my wife’s name. Took a bit of patience with a bit of back and forth but eventually got there. $80 worth of Bunning’s vouchers for $40… Awesome. Thanks for the post.

    • So you are the one who is holding us up.. :-P

  • webservers cant handle the the number of requests.
    good deal though
no luck from last 20 minutes ..arrghh

  • Just got 2, thanks for the info

  • -6

They better fix their IT systems. The time we wasted trying to load the page is not worth the $10 saving (if it has been revised down to 1 per person).

    • No one says you have to do it. If you choose to do it, it's available. If you choose not to because the website isn't up to your high standards then move along. No need for a neg.

    • still two as far as I can tell, my posting is the only indication of 1 per person and thats because it put my first order through as one only. It would let me make another order for one… if I could only finalise the payment

    • lol

  • Still says- •Limit of 2 offers per person on the main page how do you know it has been revised down to 1 per person?

    • People have said it in comments on the previous page.

  • How do you do the credit card option?

    • When it asks for your paypal choose the option below to pay via credit card instead. Although you have almost no chance to pay via credit card because by the time you enter all your details the website would have crashed.

  • +1

whole website seems offline now. That sux.

  • Says free home delivery. So do they deliver to PO BOXES?

    • No. Read terms and conditions if you can get that far!

      • thanks

  • -4

Worked for me first time, straight away

    • +2

      this brings me great sadness

  • Been trying for 30mins……still trying……

  • Got it finally…Interestingly the server crashed couple of times - but received an email with confirmation number.

    Very interesting…..

  • got two!!!!

  • -6

I'm trying to get my card!

Wahoo got 4 in total. 2 with paypal and 2 with credit card. Now back to work lol

I wonder if this deal has anything to do with the new masters stores opening. A good bit of competition should even bring down bunnings cheap prices.

    • I would agree with this theory as well. Locking in their customers via this method will help blunt the initial effect of the Masters stores popping up.

Bunnings would have also been better off if they had a loyalty card system. Their POS terminals are relatively new and I suspect that the software that is behind it (SAP/Fujitsu/?) should have been able to handle a CRM bolt on with a frequent flyer system

I personally love going to Bunnings and at least once a year I go 'stupid' and get lots of toys. :-)

      Regards
      Daniel

  • Painfully painfully slow and keeps crashing.

I think they are running WebObjects. Am guessing from the URL.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebObjects

It crashed on me (more than once) on clicking purchase
but I have received a receipt from paypal.

Not really sure if it actually got through or not.

    • I experienced the same but if you give some time, you will receive Confirmation email with Confirmation number in it.

    • -1

who cares if it lets you buy more, all the better!

  • EVERYONE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS BEFORE BUYING. They send you a "Yellow Pages Offers Registration Confirmation" that you have to click on before you can buy anything. If you try and buy anyway they will just keep on sending you a new "Yellow Pages Offers Registration Confirmation" email every time. It might be slowing down the server.

  • +2

    Looks like it's been Ozbargained

  • Has anyone gone for 3 orders yet?

    • +1

      3?! I can't even get 1 through!

    • -1

      Got 2.. Haven't tried for 3 :)

  • -1

    Can't open this Page.

    • dont think server flood is a valid reason for a neg when there is 14 hours to go!

  • +14

Poor Yellow Pages….the internet killed them and now they're online they cannot even get it right :)

    • what about yellow pages whitepages, city search aren't they online from last five to ten years or so ? :P

  • Sweet got 2!! just gotta be patient

  • +1

    Ozbargain Denial of Service Attack

    • ROFLMAO… That's exactly what I was thinking

  • I finally managed to get to the website via my iPad 2 (my PC is still getting the HTTP 404 not found error) and I was forced to sign up to the Yellow Pages Offers thing. (Forced as not being able to get rid of the big screen in which behind it I could see the Bunnings offer).

I entered in my email, home city and post code and now have been clicking the subsribe button for the last ten minutes.

Anyone know of a way to get to the website without having to 'subscribe' to the offer or did everyone end up doing it?

    Regards
    Daniel

    • +1

You have to hit the "already registered" link and then hit your escape key before it loads the new prompt but AFTER it removes the initial one. :)

    • +2
      • Thanks for the suggestions guys. I think from a previous post I have to actually register first with my email address (and then click on some link from the email) before I can proceed with buying anything.

Right now I'm suffering from the "The requested application was not found on this server" error. Annoying!

        Grrrrr.

EDIT: Now I have a "No instance available" error.

        • Got the email now. I suspect that even though registering seems to 'fail', you will eventually get the email.

Now I'm just failing on 'vefifying' my email address.

          Grrrrr again.

      • +1

"The requested application was not found on this server."

    • If you turn javascript off when you click on the yellowpagesoffer link, the registration page won't show, and the BUY button is active, turn on javascript on the Purchase details page, then everything will be sweet from then on.
Got mine 2 this way. good luck…

      • Thanks! Followed the instructions. It helped me get through to the Paypal screen but after pp login I click on the Continue button and I get the No instance available message or something like that.
Can I turn off Javascript again or is that not a good idea?

        • don't know, i got thru PP ok and back to the yellowpagesoffers site. Checked PP, the money is debited but still no confirmation email from YPO.

  • +1

no luck so far, been more than half an hour.. will try as suggested above on 148$ touchpad, thanks ozbargain HPT OP :)

  • This deal has 14hrs to go hehehe…good luck!

  • +2

I can't let my fingers do the walking any longer. I just wore out F5.

    • take longer steps Ctrl + F5 = server refresh

      • That'll just put more load on their systems, slowing things down further. Do a normal refresh only.

  • -1

aha nice one TightBot.. mine just keeps loading and loading, nothing happening, must be tons of bargain hunters on ere!

  • -1

too good a deal to be true - website is down

  • I don't want to use Paypal… but I also don't see any other way to pay? Where is this mystical "Pay with Credit Card" option?

    • Right underneath the Paypal page - it looks like you can only proceed with PayPal login but look for a link down the bottom of that page.

      • Ah ok. That still uses Paypal to process the credit card payment… which in the case of people like me who have their credit card already linked to Paypal is denied and requires logging in to Paypal.

  • -5

Can't open the link!! also, is anyone have exp with them before?

    • +3

the site being flooded isnt a great reason to neg. you still have 14 hours give or take.

  • Beware: regular gift card purchases from Bunnings expire after two years - long enough time for anyone really - still, worth mentioning since I believe these cards are exactly the same as the ones you can purchase in store. (Information given to me from a check-out chick at Bunnings)

    • I think most gift cards expire within 2 years. Companies pray that you forget to use them, thats how they profit from these.

    • +1

According to their website "Gift Cards are not restricted by an expiry date." I'd believe that over a check-out chick: http://www.bunnings.com.au/gifts-guide_gift-cards.aspx

  • Completely dead again. Before I could load it at least one in every 3-4 goes. Now it refuses to load at all. I will persevere!!!

  • Got all the way through PayPal and then to the final "purchase at this price" button. Crashed five times and told me my session has timed out, start again.

This is worse than the Samy glasses shemozzle.

    • yep thats happened to me twice. Computer is about to meet wall.

      • Would be ironic if you got your computer 2-for-1 in the HN laptop sale recently.

They sell gift cards online. We've just found a cheaper price…
