Is this good for transporting sacks of meat from my house to my boat? I would be driving in the early hours if it makes any difference.

  I'm sure esky with icepack is fine to just bring it to the boat. Why go for rocket launcher when you don't need it?

  One this size is more than ideal, not too big to lug around and doesn't take long to cool down so long as the stuff your putting in has come out of the fridge/freezer.

  Yes it will be excellent for that provided your meat isnt too big to stick in the cavity.

It's probably a clearance product line. Stores that used to stock these don't anymore.
