      Well you can pair as a bluetooth speaker as well, but not sure if you need internet connectivity for it to work?

        You need a internet connection for G.Home to work.

      Assuming your wifi signal isnt strong enough - correct.

      edit - assuming it doesnt need/want things on your local network. Security cameras, smart bulbs etc etc.
      I mean just to play music or to use it as an indivdual device
