Not true. I've managed a lot of discounts this way.
Interesting, I've never been successful price-matching Bunnings themselves. I guess at the end of the day, it up to the employee at the checkout.

6w 500 lumens is pretty piss weak. Nothing wrong with a 70mm cutout though if the light is good quality, in fact 70mm makes for a much nicer light.
None of mine are 90mm. I used to have higher lumens but they burned my eyes.
Best lighting decision we have made was to put a dimmer on our LED downlights. Makes such a difference in usability.

Personally, I'd avoid such weak lights as you need twice as many.It's quite the opposite, I found out that because I was so used to the higher lumens, my eyes need higher brightness to function. So when I switched to philip hue, it wasn't bright at all. Additionally I have to now turn my laptop and other device brightness to full. I had possibly 800-1100 lumens cool white , wasn't sure as I've thrown the bulbs away.

I filled my house with the slightly bigger one a couple years ago, 58 or so… Luckily dimmers throughout as there's way to many. No idea why the original builder did so much, albeit they had old fluoro globes before that kept burning out.
These are also $5 at the Majura Park store. Bought two on the weekend to replace the lights in my garage. They are very weak and I'll need two more.
They look good though.
