Free Short Course: Effective Workplace Communications (in The Digital Era) @ IT Masters

160

The modern professional environment has changed dramatically for some and it is predicted remote and distanced working is here to stay. With the average office worker receiving over 120 emails per day on top of instant messaging, social media, webinars and online meetings – communicating effectively and achieving outcomes over digital mediums can be a challenge.

So IT Masters created a new short course, Effective Workplace Communications (in the Digital Era), aimed directly at these issues, covering:
- Communication Fundamentals – leveraging human psychology
- Digital Mediums – applying digital user experiences
- Getting Results – digital meetings, collaboration and working together
- Personal Digital Leadership – polish your digital persona, presence and career

These topics are adapted directly from Masters subject Professional Communications and the short course will be delivered by resident communications guru Brenton Burchmore.

The first live webinar runs 7:30PM AEST Thursday 28 May - webinars are recorded and also accessible at your own time.

Is this Zoom vs Webex ?

If the average office worker email volume is ~120 emails/day, the problem with that workplace is the ineffective use of emails.

    • Yeah those numbers are way too high. If an employee is dealing with 120 emails a day then they would be burnt out in a week.

Looks good, I've been looking for something like this as I find it difficult to balance sounding professional but not bitchy in my emails.
With it being free, I don't really see a downside.

I feel I need this as well. I'm starting to take a few breathers before I send some emails during these times as my job is requesting more of me while taking down my hours.
