Good game, especially for the feels.
Let down a bit by the fact they obviously stretched it out by duplicating areas over and over, and having major bullet sponge bosses - but still well worth the money especially at this price.

  • One of the people that preordered. Was super disappointed this didn't come with the DLC. Last time i preorder from Amazon >.>

Game is incredible, it blew away all my already high expectations and I couldn't imagine a better remake.

I heard the ending goes full Advent Children on ya. That didn't mar your time with it?

        MINOR SPOILERS

Not at all. I understood the ending pretty well the first time and absolutely loved what they did. I've heard a lot of people changing their mind and liking the ending once they understood it and look back at all the hints the devs put throughout the game and preceding trailers. Absolutely brilliant. I did have some issues with the information overload at the end, that could have been handled a little better but after stepping away and thinking about it afterwards I was okay with it.

Fantastic ending review/explanation, don't have to watch the whole thing but after the Level 1 & 2 explanations, I was hooked and ended up listening to the full thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rfgw7iDZ-bo

Thanks for the reply. I was wary of buying it because of those comments. But I'll give a it shot now and make up my own mind of it.

@Valowick: Highly recommend watching that video after you finish it. It will blow your mind, and really give you confidence that the team know what they're doing.

I can understand why people are hesitant after FFXV and some of their other recent disappointments, but this is on another level all together :)

But in the mean time, play it, take your time with it. Soak all the brilliance and story-telling in, it's an absolute joy. Brought back those feelings I had when I played the original (even knowing the story so well) back in 1999 - and not many games do that to me these days.
