  • Great cpu I've oc'd to 3950MHz running at 40c average. Would recommend.

    • What voltage are you running at? I can't get mine to anything about 3850 without pumping more than 1.4v into it.

      • Must of got a dud, I sit @ 4.0ghz 1.35v. Haven't even tried going past that.

        • +2

Not a dud, that's just how silicon lottery works.
I can get to 4 @ 1.4, but thats too high for long term.

        • Mine runs at 4GHz on 1.3V. Anything past that requires significant voltage (1.35-1.4 for 4.1GHz and over 1.4V for 4.2GHz). Runs cool at about 30C idle, 45C general use and 55C stress test. Using Noctua D14 air cooler.

        • I can get mine to 4 at 1.3V on Ryzen Master easy, but using offset on the BIOS I have to add an offset of +0.3 which has it running over 1.4.
          So frustrating actually.

      • Howdy. My CPU voltage is sitting at 1.1375
Also I realised I meant GHz not MHz.
I used AMD Ryzen Master software to configure my CPU.

  • $684, getting there. $8 cheaper than the deal earlier.

  • Does this make about 50 Ryzen deals in the last week??

I love them but…. so many.

    • They are selling old stock since the 3000 series refresh (XT) is coming I guess.

  • Any of these guys got a deal on the Ryzen 7 3700X/3800X/3900X ?
Don't need the best, was going to get the AM4 Ryzen 9 3900X, didn't want afterpay but want the discount (never used it so didn't approve after the first smaller purchase, however may be better off just using 28 degrees for the shopper protection as they'll continue to fall no doubt), also it's probably an overkill but $700 still a good price.

    • 3700x is $473.63 with Amazon atm. Great price.

      • Sweet will just do that, via Amazon US?

There you go. Looks like thr price dropped by 56c too. Score

          • @ONEMariachi: Was going to jump on it but from the US…
Hmm don't like after pay either but may give it a go.
After pay can pay off immediately , but not sure if 28 degrees shopper's protection still holds up?
CPU's no doubt will get cheaper but only a certain amount i suppose.

@G-rig: Ordered from Amazon AU in the end, $541
              (same price afterpay)

              • @G-rig: I'm a little confused, why didn't you buy the $473 option?

                • @ONEMariachi: Dunno, ships from the US? Aka 2 weeks?
No real rush but can claim price drops from au sites with 28 degrees.

Guess could still do that, if it's technically through Amazon au.

Depends if you think these will get cheaper than $473 within 12 months

                  • @G-rig: If the price difference was within $150, should've gone with buying one off eBay, then claim with 28 Degrees but also eBay's best price guarantee (as Amazon is an approved competitor).

                    • @zrmx: Yeah getting a bit hard lol, eBay was afterpay so not sure if they honour that, and Amazon also ships from the US site so herd to know.

Only first time I used afterpay for something else today so won't let me do another larger transaction.

Checked my 28d account and it says the purchase is afterpay not eBay au this stage, unless you meant buy a full priced one from eBay.

I'm sure it will become cheaper at some point, just need to keep an eye on it.

                      • @G-rig: Good luck, hope it'll go through. =)

                        • @zrmx: Cheers may even Lodge a price claim in a day from the Amazon au-us one and see if they do it. At least stuff turns up quick with Amazon au and free returns if need be.

                        • +1

@zrmx: I ended up lodging a claim with 28 Degrees yesterday anyway, and it's been approved.
The cpu has already been shipped yesterday too.. turns up fast from Amazon Au.
                          Cheers,

    • +2

Perhaps you get a China x86 chip grasshopper

    • +1

I wouldnt trust aliexpress for something like this tbh.

  • How much better are 2600 compare with 1600 af?

    • About 1-4%. They're extremely similar, basically identical, is a 12nm chip. It's one of the best value for money cpus, just insane how well this cheap cpu can perform
      ..

    • The 1600AF is basically a 2600.
