Hey guys i know there have been a few portable hdds recently, including the Aldi 500gb usb3 for $50 reduced recently but this one is a heavy duty drive that is water resistant rated to IPX7 and shockproof and dustproof too, not sure why you would want to dunk it but if you're using your laptop in the back yard around the pool and a clumsy relative knocks your hdd into the pool or drops it onto the concrete floor, this will survive! i wonder if the two stage antishock means it has the g-sensor auto headpark?
Pricewise it's been reduced from $99 to $59, i think it's a bargain considering SI shows next price at $80.25 from EYO, ends Oct 5 2011
