    11.59pm AEST 10 June 2020

Deal breaker, you can't force them to make a purchase in 4 days, atleast have this extended to 30 June OP.

Last time when it was $10 I have referred my friend but shopback gave me only $5! (V_V)

    • Same. They're pretty scummy when it comes to that. I asked why and apparently my friend didn't purchase soon enough.

      • My friend purchased the same day even. I didn't bother myself to contact them! Shopback were good but I don't know why it's been a while they are not acting well!

    • Same thing happened to me, that's why I highlighted condition below for our Ozbargain fellows
"Those referred must make an accumulated min. spend of $20 by 11.59pm AEST 10 June 2020 for you to qualify for the extra bonus"

    • Same

    • Same thing happened to me, I sent enquiry to Shopback and they manually put in extra $5. Their system is obviously broken with this promo.

    • The $5 should come in once your friend's account has had cashback on their account confirmed, and the remaining $5 will come through by a later date (quoted in the T&Cs here.

If it's already past the date, definitely shoot through an email to [email protected] and the team will sort it out for you (feel free to PM me your email address if you'd like me to also flag your email with the team to keep an eye on). I'm not sure why exactly some bonuses haven't come through if this is the case, but we're in progress of revamping our referral feature which should hopefully avoid these issues you're facing in future.

I'm not going to be referring anyone to this unreliable company.

    • Yeah they're a bit shit. But for me I'll take any free money I can get.

      • +1

Yeah, but that's the problem - they don't give you the money you're entitled to!

        • I got $10 from them. I have $50 pending in my account, they just take like a year. I used to use them for every purchase but now I only use them for items over $100 where it will get me $20 or more cashback. Otherwise not worth the hassle.

  • So true, I missed few of my extra referral bonuses because my friends didn't make minimum purchase amount on time.

  • Refusing to honour the 20% UA cash back from a purchase I made at click frenzy

    • If you've reached out to [email protected] already (if not shoot through an email) and PM me with your email address and I'll check with the team.

I'll echo the previous comments - it's a really dodgy company. I had $10 credited to my account after meeting its condition, but it was randomly removed without notification. I had to chase them up (twice) to get it reinstated.

I did couple of referrals and 1 of my friend didn't even get the first $5 referral balance and I am still waiting for referral bonus from 4 other people.

I bought a mobile phone and was expecting a $35 cashback.

    It was rejected.

    Immediately contacted ShopBack customer service.

They sorted it out quick smart and credited the amount to me.

Main thing is to CAREFULLY read their terms of each offer and click through from the app and THEN add the item to your cart.

You generally can't also combine other offers.

If you follow the above I'm finding that the cashbacks flow through no problem.

If not - message customer service and raise your concerns.

I found them to be prompt and efficient in rectifying the situation.

  • Does the $20 min spend include shipping?

    • It's not mentioned in Shopback referal bonus page but usually shipping fee is excluded.

      • Ok, thanks. Going through the generally negative experiences, I think I'll request my mate to record his screen during the entire purchase for proof.

    • $20 min spend excludes shipping indeed. If your mate faces any issues just drop a message to [email protected] (and feel free to message me their email address and I'll give the team a heads up to keep an eye out for their email).

  • OP, if my referred mate purchased >$20 eBay giftcard from AustPost, will that count?
