No doubt its a good deal, but we probably go through like 3 maybe 4 500ml bottles of the spray and wipe cleaner stuff a year. Would never go through this amount of stuff. Need to have a street party and offer to the neighbours!

Wow I use like a bottle a week so snapped this deal up when I saw the article about it.

Stop being so clean. It's bad for you and family. OCD ain't cool

        • Not bad for anyone, a big part of it is using the product correctly. Most people do what it say and sprays and wipes straight away. You are actually supposed to soak the surface pretty well and leave for 5-10 minutes then wipe off. We have a pretty big house and it is mainly used in the kitchen and bathrooms to keep surfaces clean.

seriously? lol do you shower ever hour also:) same thing:)

        • Only need to shower twice a day with a clean house .

          • +1

@Finerthings: Crazy, I'm showering only once every one or two days during this covid period 😂

            • +1
              • @gilbarc: Haven't used shampoo in my hair for a week also…doctors recommendation is to not ever use shampoo actually! Will see how long I can last.

                • +1

@John Kimble: Best thing I ever did is stop washing my hair daily. I'm down to around once a week now depending on what I've been doing.

                  • @SJDR: I used to wash with shampoo twice daily, GP said goes against how most people think, but is counter-productive in the end to wash so frequently and with shampoo in the first place…it's been tough, but I've been doing okay so far. 👍

He said I can wash with water as often as I like, it's just the shampoo that strips the natural oils from the scalp and causes a rebound over production of oils.

Only concern is if colleagues complain if/when we eventually go back to the office haha

                • @John Kimble: Yeah I don't shampoo either, but I still shower twice a day. Just… Ew.

          • @Finerthings: So with a "dirty" house how often you "need" to shower a day? Three times? Four times?

            • @John Kimble: In that case likely wouldn’t leave the shower until the cleaners finished.

from the peerless jal product information sheet https://www.peerlessjal.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Ac… :

    Dilution Rates:
Spray & Wipe Cleaning 1 part to 10 parts water.
Manual Mop Cleaning 1 part to 40 parts water.
Automatic Machine Scrubbing 1 part to 60 parts water.

Dilution Rates may be increased where heavy dirt conditions prevail.

so in reality, it makes up to 50L

Everyday price. More of a hack than a bargain.

Coles 750ml strike product is $1.80

300L of it would cost $720

Which is much less of a saving than $2700

    • +3

But it only makes up to 50L anyway.

      • I'm talking about the RTG spray product from Coles.

In that case, the Coles product would cost $125 compared to the product posted here.

EDIT: Devil in the detail you caught. Makes sense. It would have to be an extremely potent bunch of chemicals concentrated, to make 300L of spray and wipe.

        • +1

Even if it makes only 50 litres that is still a savings of almost $100 bucks overall :)

          • @Finerthings: I meant $120*, my math… Oh my gat.

            • @Oofy Doofy: I didn’t call you out on your math, you posted the cost, I posted the savings. Two different numbers.

              • @Finerthings: So $100 saving over how long. I might use 2L (2.5 bottles per year) admittedly it's just my stuff I'm cleaning but still. I would say it would last me 25 years but by then hopefully I'm not living by myself anymore.
For those who go through 1 a week (wow) this'll represent a larger saving but for me it's like $4 a year lol.

                • @pennypincher98: Well yeah clearly if a couple normal bottles last you a year then this deal isn’t for you. I’m a cleaning fanatic so get my moneys worth and then some.

              • @Finerthings: I know, all good. Was calling out myself.

  • +1

Read the same article and Bunnings also stock 1L bottles for $8.08 if you do not want to buy a lifetime supply. Was going to get one on the weekend, probably should go now before they are Ozbargained.

    • Out of stock at my local Bunnings now

    It's not anti BAC.
