  • Tile is good for lost key around home 50m but not for real tracking as I thought via mobile anywhere like “find my iPhone” app,

Wonder if anyone can comment on this other tracking device? Out of curiosity as seen being advertised on YouTube ad.

    • why not just attach your key to your phone or a cheapo phone + 365 day sim

now you can find it anywhere via gps or at least find the last known location

  • I've gone through 3 of these now. Maybe I'm just exceedingly unlucky but all 3 have broken / stopped responding within the first 3 months.

      That’s why it comes in a 4 pack ;)

    • does this use a battery?

      • +4

        No, it's wind powered

      • +1

Mean people are mean. Yes, it's battery powered.

There are smaller ones that stick on things with an adhesive side. Those don't have replaceable batteries, but they last a few years.

    • That and you are still giving it a go two other times? You must love the product.
I’ve been using the tile slim which has been working good till it dies since its not battery replaceable.
My latest one is about to die and im on the fence about buying a new one or waiting for this “apple airtag” product to come out yet its been the topic for years…

  • you need to combine 'find my phone' to get the distance, but when you reach to location, it won't pinpoint the device.
Thus, this is where Tile comes in handy.

  • If you’re an Apple user and not in a rush, I’d save my money for the upcoming Apple equivalent. It’s probably going to be expensive, but it’ll surely be easier to use and (possibly) more reliable than a Tile.
