Good deal…but I have stoped even attempting these ebay plus deals. :)

    • All good deal gone in 5 seconds, I don't know how could those 100 units gone in 5 seconds, I don't think any real people bought them, just like those fake auction website, they have robot bit just in case.

  • +15

They sold out in 4 seconds last time so don't get your hopes up.

End mankind because you can't get cheap Airpods? Sounds legit.

        • -7

cheap Airpods is oxymoron. The mankind has been only short moment on Earth & will not last - scientifically proven & nature stamped :(

        • +3

Correction: these are airpod PROS. I expect nothing less of complete annihilation of the human race.

      • +1

        Seek help dude

    • frustrating, they're not actually available - hence not a bargain

  • -7

    omg

From last deals, I see 10am drop was easiest. Good luck guys and me.

    • Ahaha buying to flip this time?

  • +19

    Pure waste of time !!

  • +9

    why do i even bother….

  • anyone knows wht time the drop 10am?

    • +3

      Yes it says 10am

  • Lol

    • Lol.

    • -2

You'll find in these listings the competitors dont actually have to pay for the prize šŸ˜Ž

  • -4

    Above average headphones for $249…bargain!

    • +2

You can buy many above average.. for much less than $249. It's perception bias.

  • +2

Iā€™m still butthurt from the previous deal, even ported my Vodafone over to Telstra to get the $400 gift card and got myself an AirPods Pro.

Gonna try again this time more butthurt incoming

  • +1

looks like i need 5g phone to buy this

  • +10

These deals are advertised to robots. Ebay is literally selling to robots.

    • Humans behind robots though

Read up on the NuraLoop. Many say the sound is superior to Airpods Pro, and have equal noise cancellation.

      • +1

Was so tempted by these but … proprietary charge cable. I have a million lightning and USB C cables why do some companies still insist on using something that isn't already the runaway standard

      • I have a Nuraloop, no matter what bells and whistles it has, probably 40% of the time I try to use it, it refuses to turn on

    • Those look ridiculous spend the extra

      • Looks yes, sound no. They have better sound and equal ANC to Airpods Pro

    • Iā€™ve sent you a private message

  • And the fun continues………

    • +6

Ebay puts the ā€œF Uā€ in fun šŸ‘šŸ»

  • +2

A deak that we can never get?

    • +4

You can always get a bit of deak…

  • Looking forward :P

    cue salty negs

  • Haha who reported this?

  • +32

Not a deal as insufficient stock and other website technical issues.
These deals are dodgy as hell and are arguably contravening the Section 35 Bait advertising of Australian Consumer law. They carry wholly insufficient stock for the nature of the market and the prominent way in which they are advertised on the Ebay front page to millions of people.
The fact they sell out within seconds is also testament to this.

    • +1

They carry wholly insufficient stock for the nature of the market and the prominent way in which they are advertised on the Ebay front page to millions of people.

So, just like most Amazon, David Jones or Myer deals for very popular items then?

    • They clearly disclose the stock level. No crime here. Next!

      • Maybe not technically a crime but it is incredibly frustrating and leaves a sour taste in the mouth. The ACCC should investigate to see if these items are in fact being purchased entirely or mainly by robo-bidders. If so, they should amend the bait advertising provisions to make it illegal to advertise to a wide group of potential buyers when it is virtually impossible to buy an item, regardless of whether or not quantity levels are published.

  • +1

    proof of the deal ??

  • +3

5 hours for $249 better off save your money for Nintendo switch, atleast the battery and fun together become one given it's a hungry lil machine.

Can't say for these airpods but power to you for buying them.

  • +2

Do you guys think the switch will also sell out in 5 sec? I wanna get one…

  • +1

are they going to do another Apple Airpods Gen 2 deal?

  • does anyone know if it will be easy to cancel the ebay plus subscription after attempting to buy this product?

    • Previous reports show its good for 30 days once you start the trial. Cancel any time after.

      • If you want to start for this deal save your time. They are impossible to get

  • +1

Don't worry, if they only release another 100 units. Majority of us won't get it.

  • +1

Iā€™ll stick to my asko at $7 from Kmart. Better chance to get those, as this goes in 3 seconds

  • +1

These four-second sales only make eBay lose their plus members

  • Is this really a deal or a competition?

    • If you can get them then its a deal if not, then you know the answer.

  • +2

it's a sad fact though that there will be hordes of people at it again though.. heck if I'm home at the time I'll probably go again too (although I always forget and miss out usually). It would be far, far, far better PR for this deal to go at like $300, sell many more at that price, and it would gain more people's attention (as it's attainable for many, many more people).

  • Does this count as a new sale ? As in if you've already got one can you get another?

    • It will all depend on the code. If it's a new coupon code, it will be free for all. If it's the same code as last time, there's a chance previous buyers can't get it again… But just my insights..

    • +1

They should of made 1 sale with 600 sold. Less chance of going in 10 seconds, but still a min or 2.

      • Agreed. Would prefer it though if they reset the cart so it was fair game for each sale.

      • Agree. But nothing stopping people creating new accounts. There was a comment on the main post that about 20% of all buyers were new accounts with 0 or 1 votes.

        • Yeah I posted that comment haha.

  • +5

    Belongs in the competition section

    • I would agree with this. May be more than 8 units, but clearly this is "not a deal that is open to everyone" - or perhaps this counts as targeted to either robots or those with fast computers and low-latency connections…. and luck. A lot of luck.

  • +1

This marketing tactic pierces the core of human psychology. At its best. No matter how many times, we will all bite on the bait like goldfish every time, no matter how much it hurts.

  • From the titan_gear ebay page there was a review for the AirPods Pro by ebay user krishnchirum5:
    "Received faulty not Apple AirPods
I ordered two of them for my brother and sister, but received the identical replicaā€™s and they are not Australian made, please donā€™t order apple AirPods, now I am taking this mater to consumer affairs"

I always thought that Apple stuff are made in China and maybe recently in Vietnam as well. Since when they are made in Australia?

    • You are right. Apple have never manufactured anything in Australia. Buyer is just a but clueless.

    • I thought those review are by product, and not by seller-product. Sometimes there would be a negative review for a product because of the seller.

  • +1

it's a good deal, when u can get it. OOS in seconds are unobtainable deal.

  • +1

Not a deal when not argually not even 'available'

  • A competition where you have to pay if you win is not a bargain.

    • You also donā€™t have to pay if you donā€™t get it…

      • Yes, thatā€™s correct.

      • Unless you forget to cancel after the 30 days

  • Does the code appear on this page https://www.ebay.com.au/b/Special-Offers/bn_7109744159 in the AirPods Pro section when refreshed around 10am?

Or/And in the product page if it is the same listing?

  • -2

is this deal only for ebay plus members?

    • Yes. It's right there in the title.

    Got em!

  • +1

    Got one!!

  • gone in a second :(

  • Missed…..

  • Missed it, but got it loaded in the cart ready to spam Confirm and Pay for the next drop.

    • I have the item in my cart as well, does this mean at 2 I can refresh my cart and try to go right through from there?

      • Yep!

      • +1

Donā€™t refresh. Have the code pre applied and just spam confirm and pay and donā€™t stop spamming it till a minute or two after 2pm.

        • It didn't work, the Airpods just disappeared from my cart.

        • Worked for me

    • +3

Mate thank you for your advice. I missed the 10am sale, had the airpod pro loaded in my cart at 2pm, and finally just keep clicking "Confirm and Pay" at 6pm and finally got 1 pair!

      • +1

        Congrats mate!

      • +1

        good strategy!

  • +1

LOL… it seems like alot of people checked out at full price… Wonder if that is the reason for the fast out of stock…

    • +1

The transaction list shows me as paying full price but I used the code.
