The model which is a step down C715 65" is $1,695 at JBHIFI https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/tcl-65c715-65-4k-ultra-hd…?

The TCL C815 television sets itself apart with its 10-bit 100 Hz VA panel on the 65 and 75 inch models (TCL 65C815 and 75C815). Therefore $1,444 seems to be a good deal if the TV meets your needs and you can access GGC

  • How fast is the smart tv on boot up?

    • I have the C8 QUHD, it takes a few seconds to boot and the UI is generally pretty fast to navigate. Quite happy with the picture and sound quality, and seeing as this is the QLED model I can guarantee the picture quality will be on par to higher end TVs. You need to go in store and see it to believe it as a lot of people still think TCL make garbage TVs which is not the case with $900+ models. I'm waiting for the 4K Mini-LED model to be released, black levels are /really/ close to OLED blacks.

  • Would love to pull the trigger on this but alas not a member…

You can get access by creating a SunSuper account, all you then need to do it make a good guys commerical account and supply your SunSuper member number.

    • I managed to get it @ $1,444 without the GG membership. I showed him the OzBargain deal and he accepted it. That's it and everyone's happy!

  • Can someone with access tell me how much the 65" Samsung 95t is on TGG commercial?

    • +1

oops wrong one Q95t is not listed on the commercial site. only TU8000 Q60t Q70t and Q80t

      • Cheers, thanks for looking into it

  • Thanks for posting, curious if there was pricing on the tcl 50p8m (or the 55') on the site as well?

    • tcl 50p8m not listed either only 32S615 65C815 55C815

  • is C815 better than th X series?

    • No. It's just below.

      • thanks!

  • Anyone know if TCL tv's have HD to 4K upscaling? Most other TV brands seem to mention it in specs but cant see anything on TCL? Do all 4K TV's do upscaling these days? I havnt purchased TV for 7 years so no idea what im doing! We mostly watch Free to air TV so dont want to go get a huge TV and then it looks like crap because it doesnt upscale?

  • Anyone know what last years TCL 75P8MR equivalent is this year.

  • How much for the 75" version of the C815?

    • Not on the GGC site.

  • FYI, also on TGGC
TCL 55" C815 4K PREMIUM UHD ANDROID QLED TV
    55C815 $1100.00

    • Is it still for this price mate ? Registered via union site waiting for TGGC to send me info to register. Hopefully i can get it for this price indeed nice price.

      • Yup still 1100

  • Do all Android TVs have the same access to apps? I have a 2015 Samsung and we don't have Kayo and Disney+. Pretty annoying

400 nits garbage, can u check the hisense q8 please?

    • -1

Where do you find this info?

      • -1

on the main aus tcl website
        go down to specifications: https://www.tcl.com/au/en/products/c815/75C815.html
        Size75″
        Ultra High DefinitionYes
        Resolution3840 x 2160
        HDR 10+Yes
        Dolby VisionYes
        Quantum Dot TechnologyYes
        Wide Colour GamutYes
        Viewing Angle178°/178°
        Contrast Ratio5000:1
        Clear Motion Rate400
        Brightness400 Nits

in other words, this is edge lit, and the hdr rating is no good coz 400 nits is not good for HDR or hdr10 or dolby vision,1000 nits is needed for those to work properly, these trashy companies need to stop fooling the less tech savvy consumers.. go for the hisense q8 which is 1000 nits and has qled and quantom dot and its FALD with over 100 dimming zones.

    • Hisense 65Q8 is $2008
      TCL 65C815 is $1444

      Comparing apples with oranges

THANKS OP! I bought this model (TCL 65" C815 QLED) today @1444 WITHOUT the membership at The Good Guys - Macgregor QLD 4109. I just showed him the Ozbargain ad, and he just accepted :)

    • +1

      Awesome. Welcome mate.

  • Pulled the trigger on this one but thinking of swapping to the Samsung Q60t for $200 more, what do you guys think?

    • Better sound on this tcl, Dolby vision and the HDR works so no matter what you throw at it, it's going to support it, $200 cheaper.
Samsung, longer reputation with Qled, micro dimming (tcl doesn't)
      I would go for tcl
Edit + for tcl android 9 smart tv

      • can you get the price for the 65 hisense q8 please?

        • $2008

          • @Jjklark: thanks, i think it will go lower EOFY probably with one of those %15 or %20 ebay coupons

  • Can someone that has this TV tell me if it has the Foxtel App? Thanks in advance

  • can someone confirm this is still the same price? about to be a part of commercial but didnt want to pay for it if its not the same price still.

    • +1

      Hi. Yes. Price still 1444

      • thanks, ill get it today

      • can you tell us how are the black scenes in netflix, is there any sort of blooming(backlight), do you get proper full blacks or is it like very dark greys? im still getting the q8 for my bedroom but maybe a cheaper option would be this for the living room

  • Hi Commercial price for the TCL 65" P8S Android QUHD LED TV please :)

    • +1

No P8S on the commercial site.

Only TLC they do is the P715, C615 & C815

  • +1

Thanks for this! I got this from Good Guys (retail) Hoppers Crossing on Saturday 13/06 with the price match for $1444. Best to go at the end of a busy selling day when most of the staff have hit their targets for the day in my opinion if you're worried about them not price matching.

I was tossing up between the 75" LG or Samsungs (around $2200) but this was better value for money albeit smaller. Picture quality is way better than the demo footage they use in store which has weird colours! I tested this TV in store by using my hotspot and watching 4K trailers, and let my daughter play with it for usability testing. Only issue is the UI is ever so slightly laggy sometimes as it's Android, and I can't get my audio to work properly via ARC (although I can control my sound unit via the TV, just no sound). I also turn off all that motion smoothing crap.

The in-built sound bar is pretty good for default TV sound, but isn't near good enough to replace a proper sound system. I can barely notice the in-built 20W subwoofer in the back.

    • Thanks for sharing! Good to know your mini review

    • Hi, what 75" LG or Samsung were you comparing this to? Was thinking of going for this deal but would consider paying a little more for a larger screen.

  • Hi can someone please check tgg commercial and confirm if 65c815 is still for $1444? Thanks

    • No longer available
      75" is for $2208.00

      • Could you please upload a photo of the 75c815? Im trying to price match. Cheers!

    • Back available again for $1444 and should be able to claim a $100 gift card also via redemption now.

  • Could someone that purchased the 65C815 for $1444 please upload a copy of their receipt?

    • Just bought one at this price this morning. Will hunt for the invoice

  • Hi, can someone please tell me pricing for Hisense 50s8 on the commercial site?

  • Anyone know if TGGC do interest free payment?

  • This is still available for $1444. Just bought mine now.

  • If you could please update some picture proof of TCL 75" , 75C815 for $2208 please , want to price match. Thanks.
