  • nice.

Am still trying to track down their nail gun and the combined drop saw / stand kits….
does anyone have experience with either of these 2? (of the blower for that matter)

    • +3

The blower is good. It's got a 'turbo' function, but i've found standard mode is fine for most things.

Got one. Also have the smaller baby one, which is fine for a clearing out a small garage or shed. Works really well (a lot better than I expected), much closer to a corded variant. Powerful enough to blow my crushed rock out of place if that helps.

You referring to the corded sliding compound mitre bundle with included stand? for $180ish?

I managed to collect one a few weeks ago; thoroughly impressed with the stand brackets - they can clip the saw off the roller stand without unbolting anything, so I can use it on the bench as needed.

I can't speak to how it compares to other tools, but being my first sliding mitre I'm very pleased with the value per dollar.

    • their nail gun

To be clear I have never used their nail gun so take with a grain of salt …

When I noticed they finally added it to their range at the same price as the Aldi special buy, people pointed out the differences and basically on paper it looks crapper. I'm happy with my Aldi one but it's also that basic cheapie template model others sell, if that makes sense. So for something to not be as good as that is not a good thing IMO

(Not coming up on the Bunnies site for me anymore)

Got the nail gun. There's a knack to getting it to drive nails or staples in completely and it only takes 32mm brads but for home/hobby use its great, I love mine. Not too heavy and seems to be well made

    • +2

The nail gun and drop saw are effective deterrents against leaf-blowing neighbours.

  • Anyone know if batteries will last at least a month between uses?

    • +1

Mine seem to, but I leave them out of the device.

    • +2

Depends on your use case really. Mine just go right back onto the charger. No more than 5 minutes of usage on my end, anyway.

    • +6

For longest life with lithium Ion, the best approach is to keep them at 50% and top them up to 100% before you use them. Also never to run them all the way down.
The batteries 'want' to be at 50% charge and any variance (whether sitting full or flat) stresses them and shortens their lifespan

      • +1

The Ozito batteries have a proper Battery Management System to avoid failure by an individual cell.

        • +2

And a visit-3-bunnings-and-have-it-replaced lifetime warranty. There is absolutely no reason to be gentle to Ozito gears given the generous warranty.

          • @truetypezk: What's this visit-3-bunnings-and-have-it-replaced trick?

I hope it's as good as the free 2hr courtesy trailer trick.

            • @codenamerhubarb: I think their official warranty is 5 years (or 3 on batteries), but if they ever fail outside warranty you can just drive around to find a Bunnings who doesn't care about the warranty length and replace them for you.

I would say the majority don't care so you don't even have to put up the ACL argument, but if you are unlucky and run into some PITA then it would be faster to drive to a different store rather than trying to have a debate.

  • Is yellow tag nationwide or store specific at Bunnings?

    • +1

      Always store specific

  • Thanks OP. Will try to price match with my local Bunnings.

    • +2

They haven't done it for me in the past.

      • also they're unlikely to have stock of this kit anyway.

    • +1

Most times I've tried that, they decline and say its store-specific discount. Got it once because the team member was lax and didn't really care. Good luck!

    • Got a manager once to look into it for me at my store. He saw it was a deleted item and was happy to do so.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Time to make a claim with 28degrees.

    • I have a close up of the price if you need it

  • good price, thanks op

  • Good blower I use mine contracting I have 8 batteries it only lasts about 10 minutes on turbo that's all I use it on, it has a lot of blow on turbo.

  • +2

    Your neighbours hate you

  • Well I’ll be blown!

  • +1

Does anyone have a stock list for this item please?

  • Does anyone know how this compares to the Ryobi One+ 18V cordless blower?

    • +2

      this is 36v and better

  • Excellent blower, however the included batteries only have a short run time. 4ah batteries do much better.

  • About 5 left in store when I went this morning at about 8:30am.

    • -1

      which store?

    • I must of just missed you! I was there around 8:25am. The lady at the door said that they were walking out all morning and didn't know why. She didn't realise the price.

  • Been Sunshine Bunnings this morning around 9 am only 1 left with box a bit damaged. I was not after it anyway.

    • Thanks for saving a trip mate.appreciated

Can Bunnings deliver things interstate on these store specials?

  • +1

Got the last one (the display one) from my local bunnings obviously without the batteries and charger, just found a redshirt and got it marked down to $50. Happy as!
