I haven't. I think we're giving them the day to process the gravity of the situation then we hit them again with the phones and email.

      • +1

hit them again with the phones and email.

Yup.. that should speed up the refund process .. maybe they'll even allocate more labor to the issue /s

God damn the millennials in here with their outrage culture.

This is a bargain site, this was a bargain found on a website and posted on said bargain site. Price error or not it was correct to be posted on here and for everyone to just let the cards fall where they fall.

Go hug a refugee while you wait for a bargain your delicate sensitivities deem conscionable.

    • I think this is what they're waiting for. Must be hangry little protestors.

    • -3

Magnastar, have you thought about talking to a professional about your anger issues?

      • -2

somehow shoe-horned millennials, outrage culture, & refugees all into the one post about a robot cooker pricing error on a bargain website….impressive!

        • +5

…and he did it all in one post instead of trolling and adding futile diatribe every couple of hours, across multiple posts in this thread.

          • +1

@dmbminaret: Good thing you're not too busy on the phone/email today to provide a practical demonstration …

          • -1

@dmbminaret: geez…you must be new here.
….you havent seen jv in action

            • +1

@franco cozzo: He does it across multiple threads…there's a difference

              • -1

@dmbminaret: …yeh but this is the one funny train crash of a deal thats the most entertaining so…

                • +1

@franco cozzo: I'll say it's entertaining. If I don't get my $100 back it'll still be worth it.

    • While your outrage.. at their outrage may be valid, think you've friendly-fired on the wrong generation.

      • You’re right, I just realised I am a millennial so I meant to fire at Gen Z

  • Imagine the company understood some viral marketing campaigns and released some at the crazy price with a chance of the publicity hitting mainstream media .
Research would show this happenings .
Yeah I know the gamble of money back guarantee is too difficult for some ( please don't ever bother getting in to biz as risks/rewards would kill it ) to contemplate :)

    • This is ozbargain, not ukbargain

  • I have received fully refund to my PayPal. so shame :(

    • Did they call you or what:(

      • +1

yeh theyre gonna call all 300 of you personally to offer an apology…. /s

        • You mean 30000

          • -2

            @Ozie: no….300+ individual orders, 460+ units
and that info is straight from the retailer

            • @franco cozzo: How did you get this intel? Are you associated?

              • +1

@dmbminaret: so you want me to stop adding futile diatribe as you put it…yet you keep replying to my posts? 🤨

in regards to 'intel' (youve been watching too many cop shows) …no association.
its right there on their contact page: Sales & Customer Service Tel: 1300 225 960
you call them…you couldnt work that out? 😄

                • +2

@franco cozzo: So you called them and asked them how many orders they had? Lol… smells fishy

                  • +6

@lplau: i just asked them if it was a price error or not…then we ended up having a chat. guys name was jake….seemed like a nice customer service rep.
what smells fishy…? are you coming up with conspiracy theories on why you didnt get a $4350 electrical appliance for $50? 😆

      • I called after I have received it. They doing manually refund. It's might take some time I guess

    • +1

I haven't, so mine must be in the mail by now I'd say

    • A refund this quick?! Epic Fail in the Gerry Harvey Professional Businessman's Handbook™
(Took me 42 days to recover my refund from his cancelled order)

  • OP should have taken down this post ages ago. Not only is this going to cost this unfortunate business alot of time and money to fix, but also alot of grief for the intern responsible for this error.

    • You can also blame all the people who upvoted this deal, when it was instantly obvious that it was a pricing error and that nobody was going to receive anything.

How exactly do you delete? Isn't that a moderator facility? And if they haven't done it, then there is a good enough reason. If you don't agree that they have a good enough reason not to delete, are you participating in the right forum for yourself?

      • +2

        How exactly do you delete?

        -Yes it is.

        -Yes i am.

You can always leave OzBargain or ignore the deal if you don’t like it. The mistake is the stores fault not OzBargain’s or the communities.

      • +4

The store made the mistake, but it does not meant that we need to make them suffer for it knowingly. Please think about your actions, businesses are already suffering as it is.

Ignoring the deal does not make this problem go away.

        • -4

          Well said!

        • +2

depends on how you look at it. I see it as Ozbargainers helped the business.

My flooding their systems and showing them that the price was wrong. Could have been worse if there was no flooding and they were sold to a select few under the radar.

We did them a favour, they should be thanking us.

          • @lplau: Well let's hope thats the way you picture it when your turn comes.

          • +2

@lplau: thanking you for trying to rip them off $4300…?!?
            nice logic…😂😂😂

            • -2

@franco cozzo: Similar logic to Google and other companies who pay people to report hacks in their systems.

Google paid around $6m to hackers who reported their findings.

We did a similar thing for Nisbet since they don't have a system to detect these anomalies.

              • -2

@lplau: …thats very creative. you have a fine imagination there kiddo!

  • +3

Nothing back to my PayPal as of yet. Must be last in the queue.

No hard feelings, I suppose I'll see a refund soon.

  • +4

Does anyone know if this is even worth $53?

What if it's a $15 item and we've all been swindled

  • 3.3 Occasionally an error may cause the price published or advertised for Goods to be incorrect, in which case Nisbets will be under no obligation to honour the incorrect price

    • +2

This is surely going to be the top search result from google when nisbets is entered by the amount of times it has been posted in this thread.

  • -5

Received mine today. Works way better than domestic machines. Great deal.

    • You couldn’t of since delivery would take longer than 24 hours.

      • +8

I live opposite there warehouse one of the staff walked over the road and delivered

        • Should’ve gone with you rang them and organized click and collect.

        • Cool. Where's their warehouse located to do pick up?

    • How's the foie gras?

  • +7

    Dear XXXXXXX,

You may have noticed that we have not confirmed your order placed 14-06-2020. This is due to a pricing error displayed on our website.

First, we want to apologize for any inconvenience our mistake might have caused you.

We are currently working closely with our supplier to ascertain whether we can honour this order with such a substantial discount.

We want to continue to provide you with the best service we can, so please allow us a little more time and we will come back to you shortly.

Feel free to contact us anytime if you have any questions.

    Kind regards,
    Nisbets Australia

    • +4

Hmm, I don't know why I get the feeling this isn't real. Maybe the part about ascertaining if they can honour this order with such a substantial discount?

Either way, I got my confirmation, so this confirms I'm getting it right? ;)

    • …your grammar is to poor for that to be convincing. anyone else receive a customer service email from nisbet around 9:30pm monday evening? 🤣

      • +19

…your grammar is to too poor for that to be convincing. Has anyone else received a customer service email from nNisbets around 9:30pm mMonday evening?

What's the real email you're sending out to people that have placed orders? hehe

        • -3

          meh. a typo…on a forum. woop-dee-doo…
im not the one making up spoof emails from nisbet so its not that important…dmbminaret hasnt exactly provided any evidence to support that 'email' he received

What's the real email you're sending out to people that have placed orders? hehe

no idea what that means….are you on drugs atm? its ok if you are…i wont judge

        • +4

We can't blame Franco. He's typing so fast trying to respond to every comment on this topic - mistakes are inevitable when you're working this hard. His boss at Nisbet will overlook this error I suspect.

    • +6

Would an Australian business use 'apologize' opposed to 'apologise'?

      • +3

Probably if they can make such a large pricing error. Email program set to English (US).

      • …or 'First' instead of "Firstly'?

    • +3

Subscribed to this thread only to see you two fight each other. Unsubbed right away!

Where's my robot? This truffle risotto isn't going to make itself.

  • +2

Is today the day? The forklift is ready and waiting for startrack to turn up with my order.

  • +4

Got confirmation email after ordering but no response from Nisbets since.

Logged into Nisbets account and order has been deleted from history.

So it seems they plan to just pretend this never happened?

    • They know that we know that they know they stuffed up. So they hope everyone just pretends that no one knows.

  • Only email i’m getting is a

We've saved your basket email. even though I completed the purchase. 🤷🏼‍♀️

  • +2

Messaged them because the orders disappeared from their site - their response as expected:

    Kind Regards,

    Nisbets Australia

    • +3

      10% discount is nice.

    • …should have been closed around 10am sunday morning. im pretty sure it was reported multiple times to staff/mods…who chose to leave it in place until monday morning by when it had achieved 40K+ clicks/460+ sales…

      • +3

Franco we hadn't received a response from Nisbet, so no official confirmation it was a price error. The deal should stay up until officially we know otherwise.

        • -2

          call them right now & find out… Tel: 1300 225 960
          https://www.nisbets.com.au/contactus

          • +1

@franco cozzo: No one is going to call because no one in their right mind would think this isn't a pricing error.

            • +1

              @enwar: Can't agree more

          • +2

@franco cozzo: I'm not calling because it's not my duty to. They advertised a product, I bought it, and I am now awaiting delivery in lieu of any communication from them to the contrary. If they have made a mistake it is their duty to let me know - why else did they take my contact information?

A simple blanket email to all purchasers wouldn't be that hard.

          • -1

@franco cozzo: They weren't taking calls Sunday as far as I'm aware. This is the time you're saying it should have been closed?

        • They've sent me an email saying it was a price error, and offering a 10% discount on the robot.

    • No way! It's too much fun reading from people who really think they've still got a chance at receiving the product :D

  • +1

Some mods quickly police deal posts but won't censure something that is glaringly a price error. Who in their right mind will think a $4,350 discount on a $4,399 item is legit?
