  the lock top lids on the mugs are crap
  they leak when u tilt them

  the only good type are the rubber sealed screw lids (not the "cup" lids, but a slot that is closed in a circular screw motion, instead of a longitudinal slide motion like these lids) made by Thermos (the original brand)
  pricey, but the quality is worth it. i bought 4 different crap ones, before getting the thermos (cheaper than the 4 combined)

    I'm drinking out of a leaky screw-lid stainless steel & black plastic travel mug right now.

    The reason? We have misplaced our cheap black plastic ones that had red plastic clip-on lids and worked perfectly. They also fitted in my car's cup holder much better than this one. So results may vary.

  these look like the crap ones that are plastic on the inside…

  i much prefer the mugs that are stainless steel on the inside… plastic makes the coffee taste funny…
