Good prices on these.. esp Kirin 50% ABV has been discontinued as of 2018 so hard to find stock. Limited stock while they last.

Kirin Fuji Sanroku Tarujuku 50 Blended Japanese Whisky (700ml)
A Japanese exclusive, this high ABV bottling from Kirin was launched in March 2016. The blend features medium and heavy-type grain whiskies combined with a minor peated malt component. Chief blender, Jota Tanaka also decided to bottle this non-chill filtered and at 50%. According to Nonjatta, "The new ‘Fujisanroku 50°C’ is the first generally and permanently available, entry-level NC Japanese blended whisky that is not chill-filtered. A bold move but one that, we are sure, will pay off. It sure does for us drinkers… the first sip you take, you know!"

Akashi White Oak Japanese Blended 500ml
A very light, easy-drinking blended whisky from the Japanese Eigashima/White Oak Akashi label. Whiskies in the past decade have appeared under the Whike Oak and Akashi labels, but the Eigashima distillery has a long history with sake and shochu. They received a license to distill whisky in 1919 (prior to Yamazaki even being built) but didn't utilise it until decades later.

  Purchased a bottle of that Kirin Fuji 2 years ago in Japan for less than $20. One of the smoothest whiskies I've ever tried! Even for 50% alcohol.
  Price is decent considering they stopped producing this Whisky over a year ago and it's actually becoming quite rare.
  If you want to try it, this might be your last chance to grab a bottle.

    Can vouch for the Kirin Fuji being an excellent drop, though at $95 it's really pushing the limits. But like what Divinitini said, it has been discontinued and this is probably one of the last chance to grab a bottle from retailers.

      Agree. The Fuji is good.

      The Akashi is not.

        I've had both multiple times in Japan and like both.

        Your statement only serves to put people off the Akashi, at almost half the price of the Fuji-San is worth a try.
