Brother MFC-2750DW Printer Mono Laser Multifunction $266 Delivered (NSW Metro) @ Office Choice (Price Beat $252.70 @ OW)

221

Delivery fee outside Sydney metro = $16.50 (exc gst)

The 10 year old Samsung MFC died a little while ago and so did some research to find that Brother printers are the way to go for both build quality and toner costs (planning to use compatibles).

Was stalking this Brother MFC-2750DW for a while and with EOFY around the corner decided to bite the bullet.

Try price beating with officeworks but note that stock is very limited in NSW. I managed to score this one at Liverpool Officeworks and there was only x1 more box on the shelf.

Not the best price it has ever been but considering it's only a day left for EOFY and the fact that this printer is pretty much out of stock in most retailers makes it a good deal at this price (cheapest delivered i could find online too).

Good luck!

Hit me up if you need a receipt. OW RRP is $298 - https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/brother-mo…

Note: I used the script shared on this post to locate stock - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/396091
I also rang Mona Vale NSW who said they had around 3 in stock (that store was too far for me).

Edit: Since I had the tool open see below for stock as at 29/6 - 10:38pm (other stores are showing N/A)

I bought one of these a few months ago, cannot fault it!

  • Good printer

I’ve been using the earlier model L2730DW for the past 12 months - it’s a great printer! I’ve since bought third party toner from ebay which has worked well and much cheaper than official brother toner

  • Is there a machine like this, wifi scan copy print no need fax, much smaller body and similar price?

    • You can check the selection of Brother printers here - https://www.brother.com.au/en/products/all-printers/printers

I don't think there is a smaller body Mono Laser but pretty sure I saw a Brother inkjet MFC with a smaller body in OW store. Can't comment on other brands.

      • Just want laser, cheaper long run.

          • @muzzy1907: Thanks will check.
I really hating my Fuji. Issue with wifi, cheap plastic, can't scan to email or Google drive, slow scanning… It was from aldi $150 years ago.

Ups that compact is not wireless.
If I connect it to my modem I can turn it into wireless, can I ? I'm a bit noob in networking skill

            • @CyberMurning: Ah, you are right it's not wireless, sorry.
The size isn't much different though. The MFC-L2750dw is substantially smaller than my old printer. They make them light and compact nowadays. Might be hard to find something smaller with all the bells and whistles…

        • I have an mfc-8860DN its a dinosaur but runs brilliantly and the cheapest I've ever seen - and I used to work for Xerox as a business printer consultant and I hated the 8860s as they were too good. I also have an earlier version of this MFC-L2703DW. These newer ones are much smaller. It's narrower than my regular A4 inkjet. Seriously small footprint. It has a fax function, who cares if the price is great, the quality is great and the running costs are low. Get in to a store and have a look, they are as compact as it comes.

    • My old brother is 58cm wide, these newer ones are 40cm wide. The glass on the A4 scanner is over 30cm wide. It's the physical limitations of a flatbed scanner. I doubt you will find much smaller with these features.

Best home or small office printer.Full duplex scanning and printing, super easy to setup.

Brother laser printers are the best in terms of build quality and reliability.

This particular model looks like one I had from about 10 years ago until I bought a (much inferior) HP colour laser multifunction which was slow, unreliable and eventually failed.

  • What are options for color laser. I only really need it to do duplex printing, anything else would be a bonus. I already have an inkjet but people notice the difference, doesn't look "proper" to print office stuff with an inkjet.

    • My sister just bought the Brother Colour Laser Multi-Function Printer DCP-L3510CDW from OW. It lists at $349 but haggled the sales assistant down to $300. It doesn't have fax (which is a bonus for most people).

Got one of these about 7months ago at office works with a price beat for around $200 can't remember for the life of me who they beat tho! All I remember was it came in under the price of their entry level brother multi function laser they had in store. It's been bullet proof and I've printed over 1000 pages since then and probably scanned around the same amount.. would gladly have paid 250 for it. The NFC does come in handy with your phone!

  • Been using 2 of the previous models In the office lots of printing for the last 4-5 years and it’s just needs cheap drums and refills from ink station and they keep running no issues at all.

Most of all other printers I’ve tried e.g epson/Hp/canon can be very temperamental - paper jams/disconnecting from the wi-fi etc

  • I've got an older model MFC-L2740DW.
still working well after a few years.
    Recommend it.

  • Damn, I just bought the HL-L2395 yesterday. It would have been nice to have the automatic feed scanner, but not enough to try to return it. It doesn't look like there's any OW stock of the 2750 around Brisbane.

    • Thanks that's looks like what I wanted, compact enough no need fax
Too bad I can't buy it from you so you can upgrade

  • Good printer. Got it during black friday deals last year.

  • Why is this so expensive? I'm sure I saw a Brother mono laser printer (cannot remember the model) from Officeworks for $99 a few years ago.

I got the model under this one - the 2395DW a few weeks ago and like this one, i cant fault it.

The only diff between 2395 and 2750 is the paper feeder which i thought i wouldnt need. Both do duplex, both do amazing wifi connectivity (all the printers are usually rubbish for that)

    Overall, amazing printer.

$40 diff between this and the 2395DW, just decide if you need a paper feeder is about it.

    Nice find OP.

    • i really considering yours at $214.
can scan and send straight to google yahoo email?

      • Yes, as far as i know you can set up email scanning but i havent done that yet.

So far ive managed to do everything theyre supposed to do (that the other ones never do). Print wifi from iPhone, print wifi from printer on network, scan to pc via wifi….all of the above work, its a great printer.

Great printer, exactly what the reviews say

        • hmm mine cannot scan to email, but can scan to network location (which work, save to a folder on my NAS).
now i am wondering if i can scan and save to a laptop which already connected to the same wifi?

Been using 2740DW for few years
    Still running without issues
    Highly recommended

  • Any color laser module has duplex scanning and duplex printing that recommend? I found the most modules only list feature of duplex printing, but not mention if do duplex scanning.

  • I have this model for over a year now. Very happy with this printer. The best feature we like are print over wifi and custom shortcuts we could create. We have created custom shortcuts to scan to email. I am now using nongenuine toner and there is no issues with the printer.

Got the 2720DW Years ago, still going strong. Auto Feeder, duplex without having to reload, wireless scanning and wireless printing, cheap toner cartridges, rarely jams. Ive used lots of other printers, The Brothers seem to be much better printers

  • Good printer however this isn't a deal. This is more expensive than the usual "price beat" price for the past 6+ months, perhaps even several years.

  • Their L3750CDW is a awesome printer if you also want colour.

  • Wow that didn't take long for them to bump their price! Hope a few people took advantage at least.

Managed to grab 2 at Officeworks and price matched. Thanks OP!

      • why two? one printer for one hand?

      • Glad it worked! Enjoy :)

  • Has anyone got much experience with the Brother iPrint&Scan mobile app? I can only find some reviews from 7+ years ago and assume the app has been improved since then to incorporate cloud save support, decent scanning controls, etc… can anyone provide feedback on this?

I've got an Epson multifunction which keeps drying out so am looking to replace, but I've become very accustomed to the iPhone/iPad featureset which works well for printing (Airprint - and most devices seem to support this easily) but also scanning and the ability to customise ADF vs table, colour/quality settings, and most importantly, ability to save as image/PDF and upload directly to OneDrive (or email or save to the device).

    • +1

I use the Brother app, primarily for the scan function. It's super basic and I can't make changes to settings (when I wish I could, like higher resolution). But some might like it that way.
The greatest feature is the ability to share the scan to various other apps on your mobile eg Gmail, Drive etc
