  • Was backordering 24inch same price at Amazon. Cancel Amazon order once i have successfully placed an order here.

  • Now, all the action looks flawless. The 75Hz refresh rate delivers a more fluid picture. Whether you're catching up on your favorite TV drama, watching a video or playing a game, your entertainment is smooth with minimal lag or ghosting effect.

How is 75Hz "smoother" for watching TV or videos? Surely it's best to watch a video at a refresh rate that matches the content? (Generally 50Hz or 60Hz for TV or 24Hz for most movies or some even multiplier of those refresh rates.)

    • -1

      24x3=72.

72hz is always smoother for watching cinematic content, because the refresh divides evenly into the frame rate.

If watching full screen, your drivers should scale the refresh. Otherwise, 75 is still closer than 60.

      • +1

Kind of, maybe they mean it's got black frame insertion?

      • If the original content is in 24fps, you can't magically create 48 more real frames per second.

  • Wow what PC's come with analogue outputs these days?

    • servers. security systems

    • +1

      Used ones.

    • Mine :(

  • is the newsletter code generic? 24-48 hrs!

    • It’ll come in like 5-10 mins!

      • It's been almost an hour and still nothing

        • Oh dam maybe try another email

          • @pingualien: OZB prob hit so hard their email accounts/servers got blocked

  • +1

    Bought one! Working from home.
Not sure about the specs or is it worth upgrading my 5 years old 24" (i hope so)! But looks like a good deal!!! Thats the Ozbargain spirit

    • +2

If sharpness is not a big deal for you. Yeah it's a good deal.
Usually FHD is good for 24 inch and QHD for 27-28 inches.

      • Ops
        So I am downgrading now!

      • so 1080p will look more pixelated on 27 inch?

        • +1

Definitely. Maybe less if you haven't experienced QHD on a 27 inch screen yet.

          • @Mi2: what about if we get a 4k monitor
and play 1080p games or videos on it?

would it look not as good as playing it natively on 1080p monitor?

I want to get higher resolution monitor than 1080p
however QHD is not as future proof as 4k
and the GPUs to play 4k games is still quite expensive ie RTX etc..
and even then the performance is not that great when gaming on 4k.

Quite a few QHD monitors can cost close to a 4k monitor
since they have higher refresh rates e.g. 144hz vs a 4k 60 hz..

I do play some PC games but more on the consoles
so I mainly use the PC for internet and watching youtube..

What do you think I should get?
            -4k monitor
            -QHD
            -Other

            • +1

@pinkybrain: High refresh rate QHD for gaming.
              4K for creativity and editing.
High refresh rate 4K monitors are expensive and not for everyone.
You should be fine with a Qhd high refresh rate IPS, or VA if you watch videos in the dark.

        • 1080p on a 24 inch that's what I'm planning to buy. I'm looking at AOC.

    • Have a 27" from 24". FHD it's a huge improvement, I didn't notice any loss in quality or loss of sharpness. It's the perfect size for a monitor for me.

*note I went from a cheap 60hz 24" panel to a quality 144hz 27" one. So this would be a huge factor.

  • My laptops WQHD and now I cant go back to FHD. Any good deals on WQHD monitor OP?

Also, I bought a 24" Samsung monitor for a colleague which had a PLS screen ($150 after eBay 20% discount). PLS is supposed to be better than IPS?

    • I've been after a decent price 27" QHD (don't care about refersh rate, secondary monitor) for ages and it's been slim pickings. Refuse to buy the Kogan one after their covid price jacking.

  • bi was going to buy this to replace my older samsung s27b550 but i notice that they're dropped the number of hdmi port to one ( from 2).

  • When I hit 'add to cart' I get 'Your cart is empty'?
Nevermind looks like you need to be logged in

Would have bought one, but the Newsletter signup coupon does not arrive. Been waiting for almost an hour…

Edit: Seems to be sold out now

    • +1

Shame. Good price without coupon as well.

OZB killed the coupon email server

Saw the view count go from 1800 to 2300+ in half an hour

  • on Samsung website it say not available…is there anywhere else we can get it from ?

  • +1

Signed up for the code last night and only got it now. Stock is now depleted. Great.

    • -1

I always signup to this on a few accounts beforehand, so you don't have to wait for it when you actually need to buy something

      • I still haven't got the code from last night.

"2182 people viewed this product today."

I need one to match the other I bought a month ago for $269.

      • Do we have an expiry date for the prom code? Still haven’t got it and this is already out of stock. May save it for next time

        • +1

Email says 30/06/2020 but I spoke to the online chat team and mine at least has been extended to september

          • +1

@cortex21: Finally got mine and the email says:

            1. Discount off eligible purchases equal to or greater than $200 on the Samsung Online Store (shop.samsung.com/au) from 9.00am (AEST) on 19 November 2019 to 11.59pm (AEDT) on 3 January 2021 (unless withdrawn earlier)
            • +1

@whitlam: Ah that is good they officially changed it on the terms. Good for us, just now the waiting game of these monitors to come back in to stock

    • How long did you have to wait? This is 18 hours and counting over here…

      • same, still waiting from last night

        • +2

          Just got it now

        • Same. I signed up back when the deal was first posted and only just got it this afternoon. Thankfully it’s back in stock. Thanks, OP! Just got one.

  • As someone who has a 4K 27" Samsung monitor, I feel like 4K is useless for the physical screen and UHD would've been just fine.

    • +1

1080p is good enough unless you use it to watch 4k movies and play 4k games.

  • Just received my $50 coupon within 48 hours. Any good deals on monitor?

  • Just missed out :(

  • -1

Can anyone post on 32 inch monitors? thanks

  • Bought one, Thanks OP!

  • -1

Thanks OP! Grabbed 2 from the education store. Happy days.

    • How much is the each one?

      • It was $208 each. So I got 2 and used the $50 discount voucher for signing up to the newsletter. So total ended up being $366 for 2 monitors delivered.

  • +1

Got a spare code if anyone needs

  • Seems to be in stock on the education store but out of stock on the normal store?

    • Normal store still in stock

      • I can't add to cart. It just says 'Get stock alert'?

        • Try different browser

          • +1

@dingdong3000: Tried in both safari and chrome. Tried clearing cache etc.
            Still says 'Get stock alert'.
            Any other ideas?

edit: got it working, had it in my education store cart. So removed from there and the add to cart button came back.

  • can you daisy chain these?

  • I need a monitor that has an adjustable stand and I'm on a budget. So, is a AOC a good choice?

  • Just purchased, thanks OP. Took a couple of hours to get the discount code.

  • Woohoo. Just grabbed one..

  • Anyone have the spare code ? I have processed it , if its that too late to call them direct to adjust the transaction???

  • Anyone knows how much you claim back from tax for these monitors?

    • It will be next year. I don’t know how much though. I believe ATO will auto calculate.

  • nice deal OP!

  • Looks like it's out of stock now

  • +1

I just purchased 5 minutes ago. Thanks OP. Decent monitor for work purposes at a fantastic price.

  • Thanks Op, just bought 1 for WFH.

  • Ordered around 9am and just got a notification that it has shipped, fast turn around!

    • +1

they are very fast, delivery after 1 day and I live in regional QLD

      • Really? I had to pick a delivery day when I ordered last night. First available was next Thursday.

        • Ordered mine at 12am this morning, earliest delivery on next Tuesday but just got an email that my monitors have been shipped.

  • Out of Stock now - checked with Samsung rep on live chat and they're not sure when it will get replenished… :(

  • Ordered it last night and shipped this afternoon.

  • +2

Received mine today and using one right now. It's a great monitor.

  • using my 24 inch monitor right now. pretty good. though it wobbles quite a bit

stupid question whats the hole cover sticker for?

    • stupid question whats the hole cover sticker for?

ive got a similar mode in front of me, which hole are you referring to?

      • there is a sticker that came in instructions. says its a hole cover

found out where it goes. when you use a vesa mount, you cover the area where the stand hooks into

  • Received the monitor a few days ago and have been testing it out. Its a great bang for your buck monitor for gaming even though it caps out at 75hz. Freesync appears to work with my system which is has a Nvidia GPU over HDMI. Can definitely notice the difference in FPS games.
Text on webpages are not the sharpest which is expected as it is only FHD. Videos and gaming look great in my opinion. It was a big upgrade over my 10yo 24" Dell TN panel.

    • I also upgrading from a Dell P2411H but how come I feel that it’s going backwards, the color is not as vivid and also makes my eyes tired when using it long hours. :(

      • +1

Have you tried playing with settings in the OSD? I am still experimenting with the settings in Nvidia control panel. It took me some time to adjust to the bigger screen as my eyes and head had to move around more and it was making me a bit dizzy and nauseous especially in FPS games.

        • Thanks for that mate, yeah I think just need a bit of time to adjust, I have been using the old 24” for 10 years after all. :)
