Titan Army N34QW 34" 3440X1440 144Hz Curved $641.19 @ PBTECH

90

Been looking for a gaming monitor but the prices have been so stupid lately, finally it looks like there might be a few pre corona prices about. Seems like a very good deal for this monitor. Was $732.92.

I got the AOC CU34G2X for $850 shipped from skycomp. I think that’s probably worth the extra spend over this. Vesa mount, USB ports, warranty, $100 steam gift card and likely much better panel.

    • The $100 steam gift card promo is over now?

      • I think it runs til end of July?

Don’t quote me and can’t be bothered looking it up.

      • "Customers who purchase Valid Models during 23/05/2020 and 15/07/2020 and complete their Claim by 31/07/2020 are eligible."

        I just submitted my claim

    • Link?

    • Skycomp website says stock of the CU34G2X is 2-3 months away.

      • Too bad. Was in stock a couple weeks ago.

        • I purchased the same one from kalugi. Ordered on a thursday got it on the following Monday. Great service. Was around that same price.
Pretty happy with the monitor so far. Highly suggest going with that over this one. Especially with the steam credit

    • Bought the same monitor a month ago and holy shit it is awesome! I could never go back to a flat screen.

    • Damn, not in stock at Skycomp

Literally never heard of the brand, would be concerned buying a $600+ monitor from an unknown brand

It's likely going to be a reject panel from Samsung.

You're gambling a cheaper price against having one/some dead pixels and back-light bleed. Could also have no issues, but the gamble is why it's cheap.

      • It's likely going to be a reject panel from Samsung.

Do you have any information about this practice?

Brand names buy the best panels and reject the rest.

Lesser known "Korean monitor" brands buy what's left and make lower quality displays.

        • A few years back this is exactly what Korean eBay brands like Qnix and Xstar did.

More western companies realised there was money to be made/a market for this, and now they're available more widely under countless other names.

      • To be fair any average person can actually buy the panel too. Ofcourse you'll need to do all the work yourself for framing it, getting a circuitboard and appropriate button box etc.

Quite allot of work but if youre looking to save money.

I believe Titan Army is a subsidiary of Xiaomi (or at least has some sort of partnership with them).

    • The reviews are pretty good. Check hardware unboxed out.

    • don't worry,
it's the same manufacturer of kogan one, owned by LCD panel giant Innolux Corporation(foxconn founded).

  • The specs seem VERY similar to the Kogan 34 inch ultrawide.

    • I believe it's the same panel (may or may not be the same grade), and possibly even made in the same factory.

Anyone else recommend a decent in stock wide gaming monitor? Want to upgrade from my 1080 aoc panel

    • I mean, I’m almost into tv territory, right? Should I just do that instead?

      • TV and gaming monitors are very different. If it's specifically for a PC/Gaming you are much better off with a monitor.

      I have the AOC Cu34g2x

$850 shipped from skycomp for me (oos right now)

Amazing panel for a very very good price. Stock is the only issue.

144hz, 1440p, 21:9, gsync compatible, hdr (I turned it off), vesa, 4 USB ports, nice looking, 3 year warranty.

I’ve had no issues and game on it regularly. Absolutely fantastic panel and best monitor I’ve ever had.
