  • Good blower better than Stihl. I just moved over to Ego stuff but i have this Echo blower as a backup.

  • Same price as a Stihl BG56 which has slightly better specs, I'll take the Stihl.

Last 2 stihl blowers I have are both bg56 and I used commercially and used the stihl expensive 2 stroke oil. First one lasted 14 months 2nd one the bearing got noisy at 11 months and was replaced under warranty. Stihl are not as good as they used to be.

    This is not correct

Echo have 2 x hand held blowers with the same size engine,[go figure, great for confusion] but they have different engine output, construction, and performance

The one you are showing is the PB250, it's cheaper, domestic-spec, lower performance, heavier and had a old RRP of $329 which they reduced to current RRP of $279, in turn Bunnings reduced it to $249 as shown by you.

The Pro model is PB2520, full pro, anti twist, commercial grade, RRP of $399, and worth every penny of that, no longer sold by Bunnings, but mower stores and EBAY [where you can on occasional nick it cheap]

The ONLY reason Bunnings have gone to the lower spec one is to compete with Husqvarna 125V which was $249 [now $329], out of season price currently.

And the Stihl BG56 which has stayed on special price, unlike the Husky, @$279

The Echo is MILES better than the other 2, sell them, and they never come back, bulletproof, like a Toyota Camry, they just keep running and running, not fickle like the other two.

Both the Husky and Stihl blowers are a side line product [but do sell well] they are both super strong in chainsaws

My advice buy the PB2520 at the best price you can get, low to mid $3xx's

    Happy Blowing!

    • I seen two PB250's on Clearance at BUNNINGS Tuggerah the other day. $200 each.

    • The ones I saw reduced to clear at Vermont sth and Scoresby yesterday were PB 2520 not the 2500

go with a vac …..picks the leaves up and bin em ….. have to get em off your property at some stage.

Also good if you want to compost them. Pre-shredded means they break down quicker.

  • Annoy your neighbours for less.

  • save yourself the headache. just get an electric one. buy a skin if you have 18v batteries already with your drill set.
if not taken care of perfectly they always block etc.
