Was looking around for a robo vacuum and came across this deal, and pulled the trigger and am hoping for the best.

Tecobuy has the black vacuum for $594 + $15 standard shipping which is a pretty decent deal for a pretty decent robo vac.

    Hmm have they got stock in AU? Says shipped in 3-5 days but the sites warranty info says to be shipped back to their Hong Kong warehouse. Can anyone vouch for Tecobuy?

    I have ordered this model last week from Tecobuy. My tracking information showed it took 3 days to get from HK to East Coast. Still waiting to get to WA which has been longer than it took to get to Sydney

    Roborock Australia will not cover this with warranty. Gotta buy it from them for that. This is considered a grey market import

    Edit: actually it's just their site search that's broken. For some reason it doesn't turn up anything if you try and search "roborock" and/or "s5 max". Thanks for the link.

      zzyss, you can. Can't comment on Tecobuy but Tobydeals went pretty well as per my post. Really glad I bought when I did as it seems the price really sky rocketed after.

      I think you just have to be prepared to wait for delivery and know you can fall back on PayPal protection….

      I think they kill the link and search function when they have no stock. I'm close to a week after ordering now and no update so my assumption is they are waiting for stock. I ordered the white one last week for reference

    Something I am still not sure about gray import is whether it would be honoured by Xiamo home and Roborock app as well as any upcoming firmware updates. Has anyone had any experience before?

      What do you mean by honoured? If you refer to having firmware update and compatibility with both roborock and mihome app then yes it's fine. The truth is that it's exactly the same as the one sold by roborock Australia, they just change over the plug for you and give you local return warranty. Hardware and spec wise there is no difference I believe, even electrical standards should be the same. The white one claims to be for AU market but besides the colour I don't think there is any hw difference. I also got in contact with them and they are waiting for a shipment on the white colour, they expected delivery in a few days

        Mine has apparently been on a plane from China for the last 3 days. No update since then.

          Yep, mine's in Aus, after a very long flight. I'm assuming the plane might have flown to multiple countries to pick up and drop off cargo, or it's some quirk in their tracking processes. Dunno. Check out my tracking history in my reply to thatsapaddlin below.

      Received mine today and had it up and running pretty quickly. Installed the Roborock app, added the vacuum, update the firmware and off it went.
