    2,800mAh @ 1.2v in a AA size with Ni-MH chemistry?

    thats a big call.

    • Not too far afield from Duracell's 2650 mAh rating,
      also in a AA form-factor.

      (I bought mine for ~ $10 -with- a 4-cell charger,
      at OfficeWorks… long ago; now, I have all these
      chargers… maybe I should eBay some, eh? :-)

      BTW, if you order 2x 8, ie, 16 of these [Chinese]
      Fujicell cells the shipping fee remains $5.99.

      So, your per-cell cost drops to closer to what
      you'd pay for 2000 mHa cells…

      . 8 cells for ~ $13 (instead of ~ $16)

      I have no idea if they're worth the resulting price,
      however.

      Judging from the article, by folks who've tested
      these, though, I'm NEGGING the deal… 'cause:

      We shouldn't be encouraging companies that mislabel
      their products with spec's they don't seem to be
      able to meet.

        1. The deal is already expired mate
        2. Not a valid reason to neg

        I know what you mean about chargers haha, I seem to have way too many! But if you look at the candlepower review, I want one of those machine's he has.

    Why are there so many AA specials and hardly any AAA specials? And why, when there is a AAA so-called special, do they charge more per battery for the smaller AAA than the AA?

  • +1

    Heaps of bad reviews on this branded battery.. I'll pass..

    • For those wondering, last time these were posted, it was reported that Fujicells discharge rapidly, compared with other batteries.

      • I don't get it…

        I see lots of reasons NOT to recommend these mislabeled cells,
        that may also discharge rapidly…

        So, why am I the only one to brave enough to NEG this deal? :-/

        I say: Critique in a meaningful way: Follow-up with a NEG vote.

        Last time I checked, they don't come round & beat us up…

        Of course, they may have enough stooges to undo our NEG votes,
        so, I ALSO say (this time to OzBargain operators):

        . Raise the bar on undoing NEG votes

        It should require more than a few others to undo a NEG vote.

        My 2.2 cents only…

  • Care to link (or quote) some reviews? I'm capped.

      Wow, they look like crap. I'll be passing after that review.

    • Thanks for the link! Very handy :)

      Will update post.

    • That reminds me, I've been using my LaCrosse to refresh my batteries. I bought some of the Fujicells 1.5 years ago.

      After refreshing a week ago, on a pack of 2800mAh AAs, I got 2043, 2030, 2110 and 1990.

      Also, doing a test (not a refresh) on AAA 800 mAh, from almost 2 years ago (and not used in a while), I get 148 and 40. (I'm going to go refresh those and see how it goes)

      • so far my AAAs are still refreshing. Up to 604 and 592 at the moment.

    if (site == ozbargain && deal == rechargable_batteries) {
    ..if (brand == eneloop) {
    ….return frontpage();
    ..} else {
    ….return NULL;
    ..}
    }

    • +5

      Eneloops are the shit.

    • May I adjust?

      :

      ..} else {
      ….return NEG; /* NEG the Deal! ;-) */
      ..}
      }

  • While they may work out as 1900mAh does that make it a bad deal?

    Knowing these are 1900 is there a better deal somewhere?

    • So long as you'll use them within a day or two of charging, each time, it's probably a good deal. But if you want to charge them and use them maybe at the end of the week, not so good.

  • +1

    Eneloop. The only rechargeable battery.

    • Sony's had some 2800's

      Sanyo's had some 2600's

      …surely there are SOME good rechargeable NiMH AA's…?!?

      If not, maybe there's a business opportunity here…
      (eg, for a battery maker …in Korea? Vietnam? etc.)
