please dont list RRP, they are misleading as no one charges RRP these days… or no one would buy at RRP from this site!

Hi Wisc, thanks for the heads up - will drop RRP in future. We are still noobs at posting to Ozbargain. =)

    • +1

I think RRP is still useful as a point of reference. Just don't refer to it more than necessary.

      Nice TV, btw.

I think RRP is still useful as a point of reference.

no it's not… shopbot prices are useful, RRP is misleading

  • Getting closer to my goal of a brand name 40" for under $500… what do you guys think? Could I get this by Christmas?

    • -1

sure you will be able too. But if I were you I would have just got the Soniq 42" considering it uses an LG panel anyway.

Already we saw the Samsung FullHD 3D Plasma 51" last week for $799, so im sure at Christmas sales we will see even bigger bargains.

considering it uses an LG panel anyway.

the processor & software in the TV is just as important as the panel… can make a world of difference to the picture quality…

        • yeah EPG (part of the software) is another usually understated feature…

the soniq tv does it great, my tvix box not so great and hard to read.

        • Yes I am aware of that, but the Soniq was quite impressive IMO. Not sure how well it will handle motion in sports though but they had it playing a bluray and it looked great.

  • BBB is back! They've been away for a while.

  • How much is a Wifi Adaptor..? Can you buy any or just the overpriced $100 samsung one?

And what does it provide you with?

  • this beats the prices on ebay, thanks!

  • -1

    Good price. Yes. Bargain. No
Can be had cheaper..Can you do any better?

    • evidence? from?

    • Would be good to list out where you can get it cheaper so that these guys have a reference to price match with.

EDIT: Thanks. Just checked your link and it's $441.95 delivered to Victoria.

You are open to negg rider.
But I suggest you give a valid reason to support your statement (Bargain = No.)
Either show cheaper price for the same product elsewhere.
      Staticice minimum is : 544.
      Binglee : 549
      I found webprice is selling next cheapest for : $475 + $42= 517 delivered

Edit: Sorry a bit late. You already provided the link for lower price. Would have been better, if you posted earlier with your neg. Now it looks a valid reason to neg.
      Lets do Healthy negging :)

Can you do one for Sony 32" under $500 delivered? :)

        • Thanks for the explanation mate.

  • This would make an excellent "photo picture frame" on the wall for the missus, as all the TV's sides are symetrical.
much nicer than an 8" one.

  • Hey brownbox can you make the http://www.bigbrownbox.com.au/samsung-ps51d550-plasma-tv-ser… much cheaper, it was $799 as a deal posted here last week and some people were able to get it for $790 in stores with matching.

  • 31.5" Full HD LED (Dick Smith brand)for $299 http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/55170

  • I like this better 3D with 100Hz

    http://www.bigbrownbox.com.au/samsung-ua32d6000-32-inch-3d-l…

When it drops to $599, me=get one!

    • +1

It is generally not advised to have lower than 120Hz for 3D.

  • i brought one last week at my local store for $550 with 5 years warranty. the sales person opened few boxes and got me one with a Samsung panel. i did some research before hand and Samsung use other panels in its tv (google it and there should be a list), if you are buying instore MAKE SURE its a Samsung panel (before paying make sure the sales person open it up and check)

im using it as a pc monitor and im very happy with the display quality (games, SD movies, HD movies). i couldnt notice any input lag when playing FPS so its perfect for games. one thing i did notice is that this tv's SD format movies looks better than my gf's Samsung 32d6000
