Timberland Men's 6-inch Premium Waterproof Boot (Medium Brown Only) $99.99 (Was $279.99) @ Timberland

1680

Nubuck leather, lowest price it has been before this is $199.99 from Timberland.

I did a click and collect earlier today without issue, appears to be a price error as they have hidden search results on the website but direct link still works above, and in-store scans at RRP.

Good staple for any wardrobe imo.

Good luck everyone 🙂

  • Hope they are true to size, got a pair of US 10’s for click and collect

    • +2

They were either too big or too small, cant remember

      • +4

Too big, got chunky flat feet, it's impossible to get a true size lol

      • +6

Too big. I bought a pair online with the size I usually am and they were huge. Had to return

      • +3

Bit on the bigger size but not hugely, just use thick socks and problem solved

    • Definitely not true to size, I went down by 1.5 and still plenty of room in them.

    • +3

I went size 1 down and felt a bit big.
I usually wear size 11 adidas and 10.5 nike but timberlands size 10 of this boot was pretty roomy

  • +1

    Perfect for Scottish weather.

  • +5

Always get 1 size lower than what you normally wear.

    • +1

So if I usually wear 11 (especially those A type shoe end), I should get 9.5 or 10.5?

      • +5

You definitely need to check you maths if you can't work out what 11-1=

        • +2

i think he’s confused between us and uk sizes…

          • @kaleidoscope: He’s clearly using US sizing hence the whole number why would you then interchange between the two to confuse yourself.

            • +1

@nightelves: Dont really get the neg, but anyway…

Sorry I forgot the UK infront of 11 earlier. So used to using UK sizing that I forgot the existence of the US as well.

Aside from timberland and adidas (that I know of), most other brands have whole number for UK as well. As the advice was buy 1 size smaller, does that mean buying 10.5 (which is technically already .5 size smaller) or 9.5 (which is this case is the 1 size smaller).

              • @sh4hp: 10.5 is only half a size smaller, 10 is one size smaller and 9.5 is one and a half size smaller.

                • +1

                  @nightelves: You don't say…

There isn't a UK 10 listed in the size list, hence the intent of the question. Minus 1 of what I normally wear is not listed.

No worries, it's OOS already anyway.

                  Thanks for your help!

            • @nightelves: Roughly 43 1/2 Euro would be the ones to get. Should be perfect if you wear socks neither thick nor thin.

  • +1

Thanks OP! I got the size I wanted… 2 minutes later I voted up the deal and it went from 16 to 46! Good post.

  • -1

Do they easily accept Returns as a refund? Might order 2 sizes to get a good fit

  • Interesting PayPal Merchant says it's Platypus Shoes (Australia) Pty Ltd

    • That's why the website is the same, they distribute the shoes and own the brand here in Australia.

    • Noticed that as well

    • This is the case for a few show brand stores. My shoes from https://www.merrellaustralia.com.au/ came from Platypus.

  • Checkout with Afterpay isn't working for me for some reason.

    • +1

Ive seen similar issues in the past with the AP integration. If you’re on a phone try your desktop or different browser etc.

      • +3

Thanks for the help, but gonna pass on this one. Another one of those "I don't need it but will get it cause I don't wanna miss out" purchases!

        • +1

No worries. I hear ya. I was second guessing myself but I had to see what all the fuss was about. For $99, I thought why not.

          • @[Deactivated]: The are bloody good looking boots. But already have like 8 pairs of shoes haha.
            Enjoy!

            • +1

              @Twirlypiglet: Lol. Cheers bud.

    • +1

Same got an issue with Afterpay weirdly
Card also gave a server error

      Trying Paypal now

    • My PayPal came up with an error but still went through anyway

      • Update this happened to me as well.. Thankfully saw the e-mail before i started ordering a whole wardrobe of the same shoe!

  • Unfortunately the VIC lockdown means I can't go to the CBD for C&C, and it'll probs stay unused for quite a while. Oh well, bought it anyway with $10 shipping.

    • I chose click and collect in the city and I’m one suburb over - are the stores even open? Assuming they will hold it or ship it out to me

      • +1

They'll hold it as you've paid for it already, but just manage expectations, some poor soul at head office might start off their Monday realising a price error they did as they were rushing to finish on Friday arvo. I'd try and get in at opening time just in case it is an error and they do cancel

      • One suburb over seems reasonable, I'm a good 20+km away. Not sure what will happen to the click and collect orders — hopefully they ship yours out.

  • If its hidden does it mean we cant do cashback

  • +1

Site is being hammered - Majority of payment methods arent working.

Managed to get a US8 & US13, keep trying and it eventually goes through.

  • +6

I set my toaster to 3. Medium brown

    • +1

These boots would look good with jeans that have an onion tied to the belt.

    • Just checking this comment was here. Very good, carry on.

  • looks like my payment transaction did not get through… has this been ozbargained?

    • +1

mine went through with cc at 9:19pm

      • Been trying multiple times… :(

  • Thanks OP, bought some for dad, eventually managed to get paypal to work

  • Thanks for this, managed to get what is hopefully my size, comments on them running big have me a bit worried but worth the punt at this price!

  • Thanks OP! Great price

  • +3

site is really slow… Is it getting hammered?

  • +4

Paypal failed to check out 4 times, and then OOS'd me.

    • Same here. Both Paypal and Card didn't work then OOSed on me.

    • what does oos'd mean?

  • Getting "server error" when processing payment thus far. Let's see if it works.

    Good find, OP.

edit: tried it about 25 times, finally appears to have gone through, money's left the account (size 9)

  • Worked with persistence for size 11

  • Worked ok for me - slow but worked first time using PayPal. Thanks OP.

  • Tried 10x - PayPal, Visa, Amex, etc. I think I'll stop now…

  • I tried over and over then clicked shipping again progressed to payment page and it worked first go

  • +1

    Only US 7 & 9 left

  • Worked 2nd attempt on PayPal. I highly doubt this will ship though, seems like a price error. This probably won't be used in Melbourne until next winter most likely, so no big deal if the order gets cancelled lol

  • +1

I kept going at it and now I have 109.99 x3 charged to my account.
Created an account to see my orders but can’t find any neither did I receive any email.
I did see the success page so dunno what’s happening.

    • same here :/ I got charged twice tho. A tad bit annoying fortunately there is a timberland store on my way to work but I didnt even get a confirmation screen. It just told me to keep trying in a bit

      • +2

I hope they ship out to people with the most payment error on logs lol

    • If you end up with several shipped to you and you want to offload one I'll buy a pair off you :) (size dependent haha)

  • Ozbargained

  • Wanted to grab that size 7 but missed it :(

  • Order finally confirmed. Thanks OP, fantastic find!

  • All gone now, thanks OP!

  • good luck all

  • OzBargained!

  • I feel like these boots are always around $100.

  • +1

Good post op, thx heaps. 8400 click throughs!

    • 9072

      • Means 600 people clicked through after it was marked expired. Was around 8500 when it was out of stock.

  • Just got a refund and a 20 percent off voucher. :(

    Went out of stock apparently.

  • +1

I think you’ll find these are the standard sale price and not a price error, the fact that they had so many in stock probably means they are trying to clear them.

You’ll find a lot of retailers have completely missed their sales for the majority of winter stock or winter style clothing with covid. Over the past 4-5 months of lockdown I have barely touched my boots, pea coats, shirts or any of my dressier winter stuff. It’s all been sneakers, tees, workout gear etc. I think in the next couple of months you will see a lot of retailers trying to shift a heap of the winter seasonal clothes at super cheap prices that have barely sold.

    • True. Although I have to say I have used my classic timberlands every day in the garden or doing jobs outside! Great winter boots.

    • Yep, Timberland, Hype DC and Platypus (all same co) have all had various Timberlands at the $100-$140 price mark this winter.

      • +2

Ive seen fair few Timbs go on sale, usually at the $149 mark for some of the other styles/materials, though haven't seen any of the OG leather 6 inch premium ones though go lower than $199 across different stores. Especially when these aren't overly seasonal for what the brand is based on.

Good to see it's legit though, assumed it was an error given these are the core lineup and were scanning in-store at the normal RRP (guy in-store was surprised as well), winning 🙂.

        • Yep. Very happy with this price and I now have one more pair for the collection. Thanks for posting!

  • Anyone received a confirmation email? Money's gone but no email for me.

    • +1

Received confirmation but no notification on click and collect yet

    • +1

Yeah. For all my three orders. I am getting it shipped out

      • Why not combine them into one order for free delivery?

    • +1

I got my confirmation email about 30mins ago.

      • When did you order?

        • +1

          Last night - about 21:30EST

          • @glenr: Ah ok cool so they're still working through them, fingers crossed.

  • +1

Yep. Got my tracking number and all. I always miss out on these kinda deals, so I was glad I was able to snap up a pair.

  • +1

Also just recieved my tracking number! Can't wait to replace my current pair of these boots which lasted >6 years of travelling and wear.
Bonus tip, I've used snow seal once the suede was too old to look decent. Gave them a great matte polish. I guess any other type of waxy shoe polish would do the same.

  • I had failed orders but have been charged for all of them, I’ve contacted PayPal and will be doing chargebacks - make sure to check your account

    • They could be pre authorisations that will drop off in about a week

  • Paid $199 from Platypus a couple weeks back.
Would have jumped on a 2nd pair if I saw this earlier…

  • Has anyone with a click and collect received the mail for collection in Melbourne or anywhere for that matter?

  • Got shipping notification, should be arriving today on Startrack :)

    • Where do they ship from? I got a tracking number but hasn't been scanned yet

      • Mine is coming out of Melbourne
