    Estimated Delivery: 20-41 days.

You can probably double that given covid delays.

    • +8

41 days? Aliexpress delivery is taking nearly 2 months recently

      • +11

not only the delivery time, there are lots of FAKE/LOW QUALITY mask on Aliexpress, seriously not worth it!

even the sale page stated "Not for anti-virus"

        • Mask are always ant-bacterial, so those selling it as anti virus are fake !

          • @SydBoy: boy…there are differences in Medical Mask & Dust Mask
and we are using it against coronaVIRUS, not coronaBACTERIAL

people should do more research into buying "medical-use equipment"
it's like buying an AMD CPU fitting into INTEL Motherboard
or buying an iPhone cable fitting into Android phone

      • 41 business days is 2 mths.

  • waiting for the first issue about how its "made in china".

    • You can see how masks are made at the manufacturer website: http://www.zjglikang.com/col.jsp?id=105

      • It never ceases to amaze me how incredible machine manufacturing is.

      • should have clarified. waiting for someone to complain or have an issue that its "made in china"

        • +1

lol. getting neged for pointing out facts… proves the point doesn't it?

    • +1

The issue is generally whether it's genuine or not. "KN95" on paper means diddly-squat if the seller or manufacturer is selling dodgy stuff.

      • that logic literally implies everyone can be selling dodgy stuff.

        • +6

And everybody could be indeed selling dodgy stuff. That's why brands and reputation mean so much.

So here you're relying on the reputation of the "Love Healthy Store" with a 97% positive review to be selling you what they claim to be selling you

And that Universal Certification certificate? It's not actually a worldwide certification, but a Turkish company that gives you a certificate (with 68 likes on Facebook, so how big is the company really?).

          • @aragornelessar: very much so. how does that change the basis of the implied logic?
could those with a credible reputation for a fact not sell anything dodgy?

            • +3

@ashtrayc2c: It doesn't, but those with a reputation have arguably more to lose and are less likely to do something dodgy. Dodgy things do happen with larger brands, but they are more likely to rectify it also. Lesser brands will likely either make build their reputation with their response or disappear - which one you prefer to risk yourself with is your own prerogative. This isn't the same as buying an unknown branded TV for the living room

              • -3

@aragornelessar: thank you. so the logic stands. lol
"everyone can be selling dodgy stuff".

                • +2

                  @ashtrayc2c:

"everyone can be selling dodgy stuff".

Not sure where you're going with this, because that's what I had said in my first reply.

                  • -5

                    @aragornelessar: simply reiterating the point.

                    • -6

@ashtrayc2c: Getting negged for pointing out a fallacy for a statement I didn't even make.
hope that person didn't miss any sleep over it. lol.

              • @aragornelessar: Wasting your time - "literally". Time the Fed govt stepped in and bought truckloads of cheap approved masks that consumers could place their trust in. Atm it's a lottery.

          • -2

@aragornelessar: the turkish company is legit: https://ec.europa.eu/growth/tools-databases/nando/index.cfm?… People don't need to like or follow a company that give certificate to manufacturers.
The chinese manufacturer is making mask since 2017.
On Love Healthy Store, it's easy to read and check the KN95 certificates and they are one of the biggest mask sellers on aliexpress.

For 3-ply mask, there are not BFE >98% but they really use polypropylene and are waterproof, it's not made of toilet paper.
Masks used to be really cheap (even localy made mask) before the pandemic.

  • +8

When posting deals for Aliexpress please add the items in your cart first and do a dry checkout run — the 10 percent GST is not displayed in the product price until you get to the checkout screen.

The 3 ply masks are apparently not certified, the badge says 'Not for anti-virus'. I'm amazed that the seller is being upfront about that.

    • +7

the badge says 'Not for anti-virus'

Wonder if they're good for anti-malware.

      • +1

At least would help anti social for a while 😆

    • Means they won't make you go bonkers like John McAfee :)

    • -2

Yes, 3 ply masks or surgical masks are tested with 3 micron particles but the covid virus is at least 10 time smaller. At least, it can stop small droplets of saliva.
      That's why P2 are better (0.3 micron).

    • I think the badge gets automatically added to all masks that don't claim to be N95/KN95/etc certified.

    • +2

I’m more amaze that some mask sellers have 15K order with the price of at least $5, which equal to $75K.

Seriously they making a lot of money because of this covid thing.

And we’re the dumb one who keep buying and think “it’s only a couple of dollars”. Even when the items is easily broken or fake/dodgy quality.

      • -5

No prize for guessing which country is raking it in from this pandemic when every other is bleeding… literally and monetarily. Does add weight to the conspiracy theory that it was in their interest to delay notifying the rest of the world and spread the virus.

        • +1

No prizes for guessing which country is doing worst out of the Pandemic either. Who knows, China may have looked at the current crop of world leaders and decided “this is worth a punt”, but crippling your customers is not a great way to run a business. When you are faced with a situation and the options are “incompetence” or “conspiracy” it is, usually, “incompetence”.

        • +1

Compared to you I'm obviously an economic nupty. You'll have to explain in simple terms how a world-wide recession is good for the Chinese economy. Literally or figuratively, either way will do. I've read the timeline regarding notification so no need to repeat that.

No doubt someone in Wuhan and possibly further up the chain botched that up badly and not much doubt that with hindsight the WHO should have been pro-active instead of reactive. We can all be Einstein's with the wisdom of hindsight though eh?

          • @[Deactivated]: I agree, but given what they were facing the timelines don’t appear that bad. The point with WHO is it is made up with representatives from a number of countries, so were these representatives asking the right questions, or were they just letting this go to the keeper to avoid economic fallout for another SARS and MERS that fizzled out? I’m sure Trump’s minions are already polishing their “the investigation is corrupt and biased” lines.

Given the general delivery times from ali, by the time these masks arrive the virus might have disappeared 😊

      2020 or 2021?

      • +6

        2023

    • +1

That's Very high hope, if just standard shipping, usually between 60-80 days given the logistics companies and Auspost all overload at the moment. One of my often arrived on the 89 days from order and another one just left China after 45 days.

    • +3

wake me up when september ends

The Victorian website shows how to make a non P2 mask at home. Surely the surgical masks would offer better or similar protection. The price seems good. The woman modelling the surgical mask seems quite petite compared to the average boof headed Australian. Has anybody bought these? Will they fit? How do they compare in size to one's sold at pharmacists?

    • +2

      boof headed Australian

🤣🤣🤣 This is literally the funniest thing I've read all day!

  • Quit your belly aching over Ali delivery times! I ordered 3 items from 3 sellers on ali 6 weeks ago. One order arrived in just over 2 weeks, the next arrived at 5 weeks, waiting on the 3rd one, pretty normal delivery times from China even without COVID. Not wanting to nag, just saying it aint as bad as everyone seems to gripe about on every Ali post.

    • Didn't neg you, but my experience is different.

Cheap items I don't give a damn about, yes they did arrive in 6 weeks. The more expensive ones - still haven't arrived (with one for some reason landed in Singapore 5 weeks ago with zero movement for 4 weeks). The real kicker is that I cannot raise item not received for another 4 weeks yet (already waited more than 2 months) and I will only have less than 24 hours to do so otherwise it will reach auto complete / close.

Aliexpress extends the time for the seller, but not for the buyer to raise item not received. At least with feeBay, I can use PayPal, I had an feeBay item not delivered after 3 months. I was at least given enough time to raise item not received.

      • Yeah the extended times by ali suck. That's the advantage of buying within the country, just costs more. You have to weigh savings vs china shipping (even without covid). I look for sellers with guaranteed delivery dates or money back. I did an order the other day that was 2 months guaranteed. I've done 750 orders with Ali, and while China was shut down originally and things took way more time, I have recently found bigger and smaller items are shipping much more to normal times now. I've had a few orders in the 2-3 week range since covid.

      • I asked chat about having less than 24hrs to open a dispute before buyer protection ends and the order is closed.

They assured me you can still open a dispute after buyer protection finishes. Pretty sure they give you 7 or 15 days after the order is closed to open a dispute.

    • Yeah, I haven't ordered anything from Ali recently, but I did order a number of things from banggood from the 3rd - 5th July and they started arriving on Saturday. All but one of them are in the auspost tracking now so i expect them this week.

They all had expected delivery times of 20 - 40 days.

      • 15 days - yep thats about 2 weeks. Great news. The rest in the 3rd week - brilliant! I dont get why I've gotten so many negs for giving actual experience data and why so many are whining all the time. Maybe they are like me and checking the letter box for deliveries way too much during covid. Bit like watching a kettle getting to boil, seems so much longer than when you are not watching it intently.

  • +1

    will arrive after the vaccine

    • Even if a vaccine is available and ready to be used today, it will take years to manufacture, distribute and administer to almost 7 billion people. A lot more people will get infected and die before then. Just look at the Covid-19 testing. About 500 million tests done in 6 months going by the tally of reported infections

    Does not meet Australian Standards.

    • +1

      link for Aus Corona standard?

      • AS 4381:2015

        • 2015 masks are not corona specific and this standard isnt recommended by anyone

  • +3

Note that the certification for the KN95 masks is actually a European certification for FFP2 not KN95, so you're arguably not getting what you think you are.

    https://multimedia.3m.com/mws/media/1791500O/comparison-ffp2…

According to this document, there are many differences including a 94% filter rate vs the KN95's 95% on particles larger than 0.3 microns.

    • I'm worried about the 5% of covid particles that still get through a 95% mask! Bit like the hand wash that kills 99.9% of germs. I think the 0.1% of germs that can survive those chemicals are exactly the kind of germ I need to worry about! But thanks for the link on the standards, sheds some light.

Who can justify the quality of these masks? They are notorious for bad quality covid 19 products. To me, hygiene and social distance practice are more important. Last purchase from Aliexpress took 3 months to arrive. Im not silly to wait for that long.

    • 3 months ago, was when China was shut down. That was my experience too - back then. It's gotten much better in more recent times. But if you need these things now, even without COVID you would not buy them from China, you it it locally for what you need now AND order from China for what you will use later. It's like when I crack my last screen protector for my phone I will buy one locally and a couple from China. One to use now and a couple that will arrive in a month or two for spares.

  • IS there anywhere to buy cloth or disposable masks in Australia that are reasonable quality?

    • Your local chemists will sell quality ones, but it will cost. But what is the alternative if you need it now.

      • Chemist warehouse has no stock.

Seems like no where local had anything you can order online.

        • My local Chem Warehouse had some 2 days ago.

  • Literally had this written on thw 3ply
    Brand Name
    YUKUI
    Origin
    China Mainland
    Function
    Personal
    Protection class

Wouldn't trust anything from AliExpress if my life depended on it

And in some ways it does

if people are concerned about being infected by droplets and virus size, you would need to wear eye protection which medical staff do , i see let’s of people with masks but not eye protection, so i doubt people in the general public are overly fussed about k95, etc .

also masks have a function of reducing the wearer spreading, rather than necessarily stoppping the wearer catching ….. hence need to wear eye wear to stop catching , only need the mask to reduce spreading …..

masks are only part of PPE, glasses and good hygiene is the other.

    • Exactly.

  • while this is cheap but getting them delivered is another story, I ordered a few masks with the replaceable filters from Aliexpress since April and haven't received them yet

    • Yep stuff ordered more recently is often arriving before the April stuff that was back logged. Many people are reporting that July orders are much more in line with normal shipping times for China. My experience reflects that too. Its like anything from aliex, if you need it now, buy local, if you are stock piling for later, order away.

  • Will arrive in time for Covid20?

  • KN95 and strap onto the ear?

  • Seems like you are "associated"

    • Na, i don't speak chinese and i wasn't corrupted by the seller. It's really cheap to make masks, they are making huge profit. It only cost a few cents to make surgical mask in western Europe (Spain, France, Germany).
