that's a lot of money to pay for a blue text bubble.

    • Yeah that’s an insane amount for a bloody phone.

Gotta get rid of stock soon. Apple 12 coming up next month!

Usually announced in September, although some rumours suggest not all models will be ready to ship at that time and we could have a staggered release like there was for the iPhone X which came out 6 weeks or something like that after the 8.

Still, not the time to buy the top end model I’d say.

I'm sorry, but how the (profanity) is $2k on a phone a bargain?

    • +16

It's almost 13% off the flagship phone that a LOT of people happily pay full price for.
I'd call that a bargain. Just because you wouldn't buy it, doesn't invalidate the discount.

    • -3

It adds 2" to you ipeen

  • Still cheaper via Optus deal, it's just that the $600 discount you get as flybuys

Yes people, there are those who would pay more than $2000 for a mobile phone. As my Mum used to say "the rich live differently".

    • +2

There's a difference between being rich and disposing of one's income.

It’s worth noting that this seller is not an Apple Authorised Reseller.

    • Interesting. Can you add AppleCare+ to these?

      • +1

I can't answer that specifically relating to this phone, but I did manage to get some of the $99 AirPods last year in the eBay promotion and the stock for those were from Singapore. I was able to call up Apple, provide them a tax invoice, and had Apple Care added for the AirPods.

If for some reason you cant get Apple Care, you could always look at adding the device to a home contents policy. Might impact how your claim gets handled, and walking into an Apple store can be awfully convenient, but at least you should be able to get coverage.

        • Just bizarre it claims to be brand new, Australian stock, 12-month Apple warranty + 12 months Consumer Law "warranty" if you can't add AppleCare+ to it…

          • @quarrymaster: Ohh, I should definitely clarify then that the AirPod seller was different. I have no idea if the stock is Australian for this iPhone. If its not then you might be able to call Apple however and get it sorted.

            @quarrymaster: Hi There

You will be able to add Apple care on to it so buy with confidence

I bought my XS Max from these guys, Australian stock, 3 year warranty as confirmed by an Apple employee even though the phone will show 1 year
