Yeah, nah.
What's wrong with Zip Pay? Just used them for the Catch mobile deal, seem fine.
They are playing right into millennials's 'I want it now' attitude. An entire generation will never learn how to save.
A car (if you need it to get to a job) and a house, those are the only things worth going into debt for.
Using these services also looks bad when you go for a future loan for something actually important.
Not everyone uses these services for debt. I use it for discounts. Have no debt and I never buy something on the basis that I can buy now pay later. Some of us just use it for discounts and pay it off right away, instead of paying from debit card. For same reason I also have AMEX essentials card, because they offer cashback.

If you use these service, you have debt. Doesn't matter why you use the services, if a future lender looks at your history and sees your using these services for such small purchases, it's not going to paint a good picture of your money management.
They might listen to your justification for using them, but your starting off on the wrong foot.
If I were looking to get a home loan, I would be steering well clear of this and similar payment methods (afterpay)
Do you reckon it will ruin peoples credit rating? I reckon if you can't afford to buy something just don't buy it. But that's just me
