-These will substantially decrease your property value and among other things cause the cancer

Said someone really stupid & famous (you could say infamous)

When are they going to come out with a coal mine set

      • +1

They're working on it… you take the coal and you wash it and you get clean coal.

      • +2

… I would actually buy that, sounds interesting and unique. Mini coal mine and powerplant.

I'd like to see a nuclear power plant model too … although, just don't assemble the reactor incorrectly…

          • @mrdevil: The great thing about LEGO is, if this set’s design ever goes out of fashion, one can alway MOC it into another type of power generator, albeit it’ll most likely need a fusion with another lego set.

I’m not sure if I’ll trust this design https://ideas.lego.com/projects/37b105af-5038-45ef-ac8a-99b6…

            • @SF3: On a similar note, this Lego Ideas submission got the necessary votes and was looking at one point to have a pretty good shot of going into production but it eventually didn't get picked up. Quite a shame as the level of detail was exceptional.

It may be Lego's sensitivity to anything overtly associated with environmental pollution/ecological disasters such as mines, power plants, nuclear reactors (even though nuclear power is statistically extremely safe) that hampers Ideas submissions like these, as they obviously invest heavily into their environmentally-conscious image.

              That just looks terrible though.

Something along the lines of this (but obviously smaller in scale, as that's ludicrously over sized) would do justice to a nuclear reactor/power plant set.

Great price, unfortunately not a big fan of the set. Thanks OP for sharing this

How?! It's a really big fan!

        hahahha touche

  • When they have 30 it means never ending at Amazon :)
Too high decent price is low $200's for an unpopular set .

Saturn V is same height…also a much cooler set.

    • Agreed. This set looks lame as for $264!!!

  • can this generate enough energy to power my desk lamp? :p

    • It’s the reverse unfortunately.

Seems like a good deal, but does seem to take a lot of space (lego) with such a small footprint.

  • Want this but then I have to store it somewhere.

Great set and not bad value. Picked this up for a bit less (249 or something) when Target had sale on. Would recommend this to any AFOL.

I was on the fence for a while with this set, finally pulled the trigger today after watched a couple of YouTube videos, other than the price per piece, not many people have complaint after they bought this set, it is a really good display set, especially if you have some LEGO cities

  • makes my ears ring. should be banned lol

    • And all the dead birds on the ground will look really unpleasant.

  • Is it capable of generating 1.21 gigawatts of electricity? (too obsure?)

    • Depending how much wind around your area, :)

    • +1

Only if it is hit by lightning 😉
