Yawn 10 % off Apple Macs at Dick Smith Again

910

Dick Smith is doing 10% off Apple Mac's again, same old, same old, others will probably price match, bla, bla, bla… They also have up to 20% off Asus and Toshiba laptops which may suit the Apple haters…

The previous MacBook Air (core 2 duo) already reduced, seems cheap $719.10

Cheers all

Yawn 10 % off Apple Macs at Dick Smith again

LOL, although its become a frequent event, still a good deal :)

  • Out of curiosity, the last time Myer had $100 off Macs, did anyone try buying the base model Mac Mini?

    • The Myer "$100 off Macs" sign is still up, but it specifically states: "MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and iMac". No mention of the mini.

Yesterday (21/Oct) I asked a staff member if that meant the mini was not eligible for $100 and he said that it was like the iPad - it was not eligible.

So, that is one Myer staff member's response.

  • Yes I did fantastic deal, using it right now great everyday computer.

    • So you paid $599? Sounds good, turned out better discount than Dick Smith since it was under $1k. Hope they have the promo again

      • +1

Yes I paid $599, I was in Myer today and they still had the sign up for $100 off if you wan to get one.

        • Can you get the 2011 Macbook Air 13' for $100 off at Myer also?

        • Really? Which Myer? I'm in Melbourne.
          Thanks

        • nice

        • At the Bondi store the $100 off sign is still up

        • +1

pana, my local Myer would not sell a mini for $100 off.

Could you post your receipt so I can attempt to price match?

        • Yea mate, do u have a receipt for it coz i want to buy one to mate if thats cheap like you say

        • I cant post my receipt as it is now with my accountant and it will take longer than the sale for me to get it back

But I purchased the Mac Mini from Myer at Macquarie Centre (Nth Ryde Sydney), so CrocFreeFree who is in Sydney can call them. I believe the salesperson, who was very pleasant and helpful was Nav

The one I bought was the $899 version for $799 so at least on the higher spec unit there was $100 off

  • How does this work for upgrades like the 1.8ghz CPU on the MBA11? Will DSE sell that at the Apple RRP -10%?

    • +1

  • Can you use Staff Discount on the DSE Online store?

    • +1

      yes

      • Thanks mate.
Is it towards the end of the checkout?

        • When it ask for Everyday rewards card number enter your staff card number

      • How much of a discount do DSE staff get?

        • Standard 5%

      • As in it stacks on top of this 10%?

        • yeap it stacks

        • +1

          10% off sale + 5% Staff Discount + 3% MBC = 18% off = :)

        • Can staff (ahem) buy on behalf of non-staff ;-)

        • @ GaelicAU

A staff member can buy any product with THEIR discount card and their OWN money.
If i was to use my staff discount for a friend, that violates the t&c's of having one.

  • I saw that Brisbane Queen St had 27" iMacs for $1199, never seen a 27" iMac so cheap.

    • +1

Not bad considering how much you'd pay for a 27" monitor.

    • Which store was this?

      • Dick Smith I'd guess.

        • Yes, Dick Smith Queen St Mall, Brisbane.

    • Probably old stock, not the Thunderbolt model.

      • Yes, was old stock, hence why such a low price.
        Does anyone use Thunderbolt anyway?

        • +2

It's more the fact that the cpu goes from a c2d to an i5 in the thunderbolt models

  • Can you use multiple Wish Gift cards at the checkout online or is it limited to one?
