Was really keen on this but realised it doesn't do continuous recording on SD card. Just records up to 30 seconds when motion is triggered. I guess that's why the onboard battery can last for a while and it can be charged off the solar panel.

  • I use this. Great for motion recording. Good deal with the Solar included

Night mode is really clear also.

    • Can it be set up to record on a network drive?

      • Reolink Cloud is available. It works with this camera.

  • I have the other wireless Argus and love it, battery lasts a month with a couple hundred recordings of the cat and birds. Gonna get this one too and give it a shot.

    • +3

you must really love cats and birds

  • Hi Rep, any deals on the solar panel alone? Ours broke and needs replacing, thanks.

    • +2

Hi, Reolink products come with 2-year warranty. Feel free to contact seller for a free replacement.

  • How much is the monthly cloud subscription?

    • Free for one camera

    • https://cloud.reolink.com/ - latest pricing is down he page. Different plans available.

      • How many minutes would the free store?

        .

  • Any reviews on this? Might grab one for the side of the house my Ring Device doesn't grab. Does the Solar always keep it running or will I need to charge it at times?

    • Generally, the solar will keep it running. But it still depends on the times that the camera wake-up, for example, too much motion detection and live view will run out of the battery quickly, in this case, the solar charging may not be enough.

      • Ever since installing the Solar, mine has never died with the constant motion detection. Prior to this I used to charge it every 2-3 weeks depending on the neighbours' cat

        • Hope the neighbor foots some of the charging bill!

    • I have the Argus 2 with solar. Its OK but not great. The motion detection misses a lot unless in a specific field of view even on high, i think really after 5m it just can't detect either. The delay before starts recording is too long as well it barely catches ppl approaching my door.

  • Any deals for the RLC-410-5MP, OP?
I'd prefer getting them from Amazon.

    • -2

      RLC-520 - 2 Pack is USD $67.99 after 20% off

      • Where? Amazon?

        • I'm also trying to find it.
          Link please, OP.

          • @skthen: 410-5MP

if anyone is looking for just the solar panel, message me - I've got a spare I haven't used at all.

  • Ordered - TY

  • I have had one for 6 months plus. I like it and have just ordered one for my in laws. What do you wanna know re reviews?

    • Planning on sticking one down the side of my house (where my ring doorbell can't get to). Is there a live feed I can view? How much is included with one camera and no paid subscription?

      • You can use their app to view live feed, playback recorded footage (motion activated) and the free cloud plan is up to 7 days 1GB

        • So I can view live on demand, not just when motion is detected?

          • +1

@gadget: Yes. You can also record while viewing live, and take screenshots etc.

        • Yes. I have found the live feed via mobile network to be very buggy though.

  • Hi rep, I recently bought the RLC-410w that records 24/7 to my Xpenelogy NAS, do you have a battery powered model that supports recording to NAS? I can't find the argus and eco model in surveillance station.

    • +1

      Anything with battery is no

  • +1

Have just ordered a couple, keen to seen what they're like. Thanks

    • It's great. I recommended this to all my family and friends after seeing what footage it brings

  • i want to buy something that comes with wire

  • delivery 5 bucks

    • Delivery should be removed with overall discount. Think its $32 with the above code and extra 5.99 for a total of 37.99.

  • I supposed the solar pannel need to be installed in the open if I put the camera under the roof in my porch?

    • Its a 4 mtr cable so you should have good length to get to an open area.

  • Just ordered 2. Also took advantage of the $5 bonus cash back from Shopback for spend over $50 i got this morning using the new Chrome extension plus their standard cashback. Will see what the cashback gets me. Confuses me how they calculate it. Otherwise lookslike some decent cameras given feedback above. Been looking for some solar based cameras with Google support.

    • Cashbacks both void with an unlisted coupon :(

      • Oh well. Such is life. How can you tell if a coupon is listed or otherwise?

        • If it's on the cashrewards / shopback page for that store, it can be used with cashback

          • @justtoreply: Yeah fair enough. Confirmed that it registered as zero cashback in my transaction. What exactly is the rationale behind them rejecting purchases using a discount promo from someone else? Seems a little odd to me.

  • Can it survive has 40 degree climate?

  • How long is the camera? I want to use it to protect my car which is parked on the verge. Need to know if it's going to stick out from the ivy. If it's conspicuous, it's going to get stolen.

    • Can you mount it up higher?

      • It will always be reachable. Need to know how long it is

        • Whilst possible, the very fact that they are being recorded i think is enough for most to not bother going for the camera. I mean ultimately they can steal any camera whether it be an all in one unit like this or a traditional mounted camera. Some of those are worth more than these.

          • -1

@hazzad: No, this is on my verge. Easy target.

Thanks but I just want an answer to my question from someone who can help, not to be second guessed

I know it's almost 19cm but not sure if that's total, ie: including the mount

      Go this this

      https://m.reolink.com/product/argus-eco/?attribute_pa_versio…

The specs have the dimension you might be looking for

      • Thanks. Yes
        186mm is total length

  • Wanting to buy one of these direct from reolink website but shows US dollars….does it actually charge in US dollars or Australian dollars?

I remember reading something a while ago that it does bill in Aussie dollars even though checkout shows us. Wanting to pay with PayPal….any help is appreciated

  • 9.57: finally got the kids to sleep
Spent 3 minutes trying to get the damn link for the eco
Missed out by seconds (time zones = midnight AEST)

    DAMMIT :(

  • Damn! Actually wanted one of these and missed out

  • Got my cams last night. Seems pretty good. Not mounted yet but setup. One thing to remember if you plan on linking them to your Google Home account, is that you need to authorise the device to be used by Google Home within the reolink app. There is a section there about enabling in the Cloud option under Smart Home. If you dont enable this, Google Home will not allow the 3rd party app link to complete. Once enabled it works fine.
